The design is for the most part theft proof. Keyed portion of lug is deep. Making use of items like deep socket hammered on for theft impossible. The coating is flawless. These look great on my Black Rhino Chamber wheels! Love the concept and a secondary benefit to these is that the lug nut will be scratched or worn before you accidentally hit your nice wheels with the socket and scratch the finish, a constant problem with traditional lug nuts. (Especially if the local tire shop is doing a rotation!)I bought these and found a similar set for $7 less a day later and so the value was originally a five, but now a four.I have these a 4 in durability as the added length will make me cringe when I go off-roading and have to hit a rock section!!! Also the black chrome is really powder coating and will wear over time more so than a true black nickel chrome.

I expected to get a box of lug nuts and plastic covers that look like spikes. I'm happy to say that I was wrong. These are solid one-piece spline lug nuts. They took my basic appearing Fuel Vector rims from plain to aggressive-looking. They also have a unique spline pattern that requires a spline socket to install or remove that is included in the kit. They didn't pop or groan when I torqued them to 140ft-lbs.

I like these a lot really like how they look with my wheels but they do seem to be a love it or hate it thing with most people. Will say the packaging could be a little better I could hear them banging into each other in the box and was worried they were gonna be all chipped but to my surprise I didn’t see a single chip. The socket that comes with them is very thin walled and very cheap I really expected to break it installing them, it didn’t break but I will be buying a better socket soon. You absolutely cannot use an impact gun on these they have to be installed and removed by hand. Overall I’d say they are a good product so far but I will update this if they start to chip, peel, fade or rust.UPDATE: 1/1/23. Well I’ve had them on my truck for 2 months and they are no longer gloss black they have faded out to flat black. Also I’ve noticed a few small spots of rust where the powder coat is chipped. Have to say kinda bummed they faded so fast but I will sandblast them and repowdercoat them in the future. Deducting another star.
