This Books Works!! Here's why...
This book does a great job of explaining Point and Figure charting for anyone including myself who had no prior knowledge of technical analysis before reading the book. He relates it to a "tennis match" which is very helpful and paints a clear picture of how the charting works. Once the p&f charting is established the book gets into technical analysis methods that use the p&f charting as a basis. The book is long, but I found most of the information useful including the Relative Strength Charting to compare stocks head-to-head to see which is better. Another useful tool that is explained is the bullish percent index which gives you an idea of the market condition (if you should be buying or selling out). Some of the downsides to this book are that it is expensive and contains a lot of advertisement for the Dorsey Wright Services. Their website & services are very highly priced and more likely to be used by an investment firm than an individual. Alternatively I was able to find a website YP Investors that teaches and uses Point and Figure Charting as well as many Technical Analysis tools for a super reasonable price (https://ypinvestors.com/). It's easy to use and only $10 a month for a subscription. I'm happy with what I've learned from this book and now excited to put this new knowledge to work for me to grow my wealth.

More than just how to read a P&F chart
I hadn't ever bothered much with P&F charts and was got this book to get a better understanding of them. The book has that and quite a lot more. I would agree with what several reviewers have noted about the references to the author's own products, etc... I'd say those criticisms are fair, but I'd still recommend the book. Having read the book some weeks ago, I've gone from struggling to figure out what a P&F chart was saying to the point that I now use P&F charts as a routine part of my analysis work. I think they offer a very specific and very helpful view of things. The relative strength concepts were not new to me but their expression in P&F charts is different enough in nature from a bar chart that I deem it to be worth the effort to include those views pretty routinely also. I'd guess that most students of the market from the technical analysis camp looking to better understand applications and meaning of P&F charts/patterns would find this book a good read.

Disregard the non-believers!
If you want to learn a modern take on Point and Figure charting, this is the book for you. The basics can be found online and in other books, but this book takes it all to the next level. I see some reviews here saying that this book is just an advertisement for the paid website. I do not agree at all. There is no way that you could do the things this book discusses without being online and looking at how all the tools bring Point and Figure technical analysis to life. If you want just the basics, this book may be overkill. But if you actually want to use the information in the basics in your own investing strategies, this book will give you things to think about that you would never otherwise consider.

Alright Book; good intro into Point and Figure Charting
This is a great book for an intro into point and figure charting. However, most of the book could have been condensed into 150-200 pages. The author is fairly repetitive on some concepts, which I suppose is good for some people but I did not enjoy it. Also, the advertising for his firm seems fairly aggressive and pompous. The book is alright overall but I don't think I'll be reading it again.

A nice complement to other technical and fundamental analysis
Interesting way to chart mutual funds and stocks for longer term buy and sell signals. A nice complement to other technical and fundamental analysis, such as candlesticks or line charts. The author provides an interesting discussion about graphically representing increases in supply vs. demand, and companion indicators based on RS, to determine the direction of solid longer term trends. Easy reading and well written, with good examples.

Read. Think. Implement.
I liked the book so much I am test using his nasdaq Dorsey Wright platform / website. I am thinking if the price is right I will subscribe.Word of note is the book can get bit anecdotal but it’s not bad. I am uncle myself and love to teach with stories. But the ideas and how to organize your investment are good for me. I can learn to think in his way and the book is a great teacher.

Must read.
Actually personally know Tom, very down to earth and knowledgeable. He has a great book, easy to understand and if , as he states, take emotion out of the Stock Market, you learn to invest "at a level that lets you sleep at night". Thanks Tom.

It's OK...
I bought this book on recommendations found on Amazon and the net - those reviews should be updated :-)Although it is a good book, I find the constant and relentless self-promotion of their web site very annoying. Also, I can't understand why most authors think it necessary to spend an enormous amount of time on explaining how to draw the charts. Unfortunately, this book is no exception... One could easily sum up the drawing process in less than half a page - there is no need to spend pages upon pages on repeating the same thing, only to fill up the book.If you are trading stocks/options/commodities and have *not* bought any other book on the subject yet then this book can get you started. However, if you prefer a more no-nonsense, clear and to the point book, you might like to have a look at Weber and Zeig's book "Complete guide to point-and-figure charting"
