Great Monitor for an Excellent sale price
For the sale price $179 + Free SH for this 27'' LED monitor, is a great price for a great monitor.I've bought three of these now in the last 2 weeks. Resolution 1920x1080 worked fine for us as expected matching up with my GPU just fine, actually excellent. We've had no dead or stuck pixels, it's very lightweight and thin, has a minimal overall footprint, and the stand works fine for us no problems, and I like the short stance of the whole unit. It has very small built-in speakers though. You can tilt the monitor a little bit if needed. The color and brightness seems great. Comes with a separate Power Supply since it's not built in, has an HDMI Cable, Speaker Mini Cable, VGA Cable not that we need that. It does Not come with a DVI cable which would of been nice though.Everything seems to work great and for the price I must give it a 5 star. However to be fair I can come up with two cons I will mention.1. Yes we all know that we don't get these monitors for their speakers and only use them for system sounds, but I must say this unit has the smallest lowest volume tinny sounding built-in speakers I've ever heard compared to many others; yes I also have nice sounding self-powered speakers and only turn them on when I need them, but that's not the point! I would of much rather pay an extra dollar or two for better built-in speakers that were at least adequate for low quality general use, but these are barely adequate. I really should of deducted One Star for the poor sounding quality speakers but I didn't have the heart since the sale price @ 179 was so right!2. This Monitors control buttons placement are not so user friendly compared to other monitors. Yes they are adequate, but hard to get to and hard to navigate because of that; however once you set them you won't have to set it again. The only thing I needed to set on this was to turn up the volume to max (not that it helped) ..otherwise everything else was already set just fine and I didn't need to change anything else since it was set to the best values as I tested each setting, but after I was done testing I ended up putting it all back to default (except for the volume)Once you get used to the placement of the controls and what they do though, it's fine I guess. All in all besides wishing this unit had a little better quality speakers in it, and wish the controls were are little more accessible, but still I gladly give this unit a 5 Star rating for sure, and did I say for the sale price of $179 free sh, it is so well worth it.There are a few different model versions for this, so be very mindful of that. This model is the most expensive however it has the most to offer. (at the sale price though it ended up the best price!)Here are the Specifications for this Monitor:Model Name: G276HL GbmidPart Number: UM.HG6AA.G03Technical InformationNumber of Screens 1Screen Size 27"Screen Mode Full HDResponse Time 6 msAspect Ratio 16:9Horizontal Viewing Angle 178°Vertical Viewing Angle 178°Backlight Technology LEDPanel Technology Vertical Alignment (VA)Adjustable Display Tilt Angle - Yes! ...with a Tilt Angle of -5° to +15°Swivel Angle NoAdjustable Display Height NoAdjustable Display Pivot NoVideoMaximum Resolution 1920 x 1080Standard Refresh Rate 60 HzColor Supported 16.7 Million ColorsContrast Ratio 100,000,000:1Brightness 300 NitAlso note: http://www.amazon.com/What-maximum-refresh-rate-monitor/forum/Fx1WI58G9PQCL4Z/Tx2B6XQGR469HVP/1/AudioSpeakers YesInterfaces/PortsDVI YesHDMI YesVGA YesSpeaker input YesPower DescriptionInput Voltage 110 V AC220 V ACOperating Power Consumption 25.80 WStandby Power Consumption 490 mWOff-Mode Power Consumption 360 mWPhysical CharacteristicsColor BlackHeight 14.7"Width 24.5"Depth 1.6"Height with Stand 17.01"Width with Stand 24.53"Depth with Stand 7.05"Weight (Approximate) 7.61 lbWeight with Stand (Approximate) 8.60 lbMiscellaneousPackage Contents *G276HL Widescreen LCD Monitor*1 x HDMI Cable*Power Cord & Power Adapter*VGA Cable*Audio Input Cable (mini-plug)Green Compliance Certificate/Authority ENERGY STARMPR II Standards

DVI and HDMI Port Produce Different Colors
I purchased three of these for a triple monitor FSX (flight simulator) setup. My previous triple-monitor setup consisted of two 24" Dell Ultrasharp and a Dell Ultrasharp 30". The Dell setup has too much pixels for a GTX 660 Ti to push in FSX's high graphic settings. For 180 bucks each, these monitors are a fantastic value. I was expecting these monitors to be a step-down monitor from Dell Ultrasharp series, but besides lower PPI (pixel per inch). The color reproduction is very good, after monitor has been calibrated with a colorimeter X-Rite CMUNDIS ColorMunki Display.Interestingly, this monitor's DVI and HDMI port produces slightly different color/contrast. DVI connection produces the best color representation. HDMI connection produces colors that are less in both saturation and contrast, just slightly off but noticeable when compare it to the same monitor with DVI connection. No calibrations can fix this "issue" and it's not related to graphic card neither. To keep this review short. Use DVI port on this monitor to get the best color out of it. It doesn't matter on the graphic card ports. For example, GTX 660 TI has two DVI, one HDMI and one DisplayPort. So I'm using two DVI to DVI cables and a DVI to HDMI cable to get all three monitors produce a unify color representation.Pros- $180- Excellent horizontal viewing angle (not as good as Dell Ultrasharp, but pretty close to it)- light weightCons- Different ports produce different colors- vertical viewing angle is good, but not good enough for portrait position (for designers anyway)- low PPI for a 27" monitor.- Monitor position is low off the desk (about 3"), no height can't be adjusted.

Unbelievably Bad
Monitor broke after about 10 months. Long string of dead pixels running down the screen. Called Acer. Now I've dealt with some bad customer service before. Dealt with Obamacare. Dealt with Time Werner. At&t. I gotta say, Acer is worse than all of them. If you look at it in a scientific kind of way it's amazing that such a big company could be so very bad. Okay, so I called there tech support number, the one I got directly from their official website. It asked me a survey question than tried to sell me a Tmoible #. I called back and it did it again. I called another tech support number, rang for about 5 minutes than disconnected. The person on their chat support is either messing with me or is the most moronic human being on earth. Seriously, Acer if you see this, what gives?
