This is a nice quality pottery, artwork and glazing. The platter is a good size; not too small or too large. It is lead free! I conducted the chemical tests myself. It is a lovely accent piece that coordinates with my 1770 French replica china. There are several shades of indigo blue which give the artwork depth. A great gift for someone who loves to decorate with blue & white china or cook & create a wonderful dining experience for family & friends.

After finding out the lid to my sugar bowl was cracked and clearly repaired (from Silver and Crystal), I examined theplatter and found a small area that had not been completely glazed. Hope this won't be an issue in using it forfood. Because usually if something is not completely glazed and sealed, water and food will damage the rest of theplatter.

I collect Johnson Brothers, Devon Cottage dinnerware and I’m very happy to add this piece to my collection. It’s great quality and a timeless design that will be a feature of family meals for years to come.
