This Murphy bed got great reviews so I purchased it. I am really grateful I did! It’s a little pricey, but it’s completely worth the money to get a solid bed. It’s SO easy to let down and lift back up. We got a 9” mattress and it fits perfectly. We absolutely love it!

The bed is easy to assemble if you watch the video as you assemble it. The bed materials are decent quality and saves a lot of space when you need it. We put it in our cabin and now have much more floor space for extra people. I highly recommend this bed and Seller.

Overall: 4 Easy to assemble: 3 Sturdiness: 5 Value for money: 5 Assembly and wall mounting is tricky - read some important tips here (king size) I got the king-size bed. My shipment was delayed by a month due to a shortage, and when I received it, somehow they forgot to include the paper instructions in the box! (If this happens to you, email them for a PDF of the instructions.) Hopefully this won't happen to other people. Important tips for assembly of the king size: 1. the four large screws attached to the inside of the frame should all be located on the same side (at the foot of the bed), these are for mounting the foot supports. 2. the rows of small holes on the the long metal beams at the sides and middle of the bed are actually slightly closer to one side than the other. You must rotate the beams so that these holes are as close as possible to the empty space in the middle of the bed. They should not be adjacent to another metal beam, and they should not be adjacent to the exterior of the bed. If you mess this up, you will not be able to attach the slats. Tips for mounting: It can be mounted to either the floor or the wall or both. I mounted to the wall. However, it needs to be mounted to studs, and it is not likely that both brackets will happen to align with studs in your wall (in my case, one of the brackets was near live electrical wires!) To get around this, I first mounted two boards to the studs in the wall (1" thick x 9" wide by 82" long, cut down at Home Depot from an 8 ft board). The boards were mounted right above the baseboard with 5/16" x 3" lag bolts. I first pre-drilled with a 1/4" bit 3 inches down, then pre-drilled with a 5/16" bit just 1 inch through the board (this helps avoid a gap between the board and the wall). I should've also used washers but I forgot. Make sure you vertically position the bolts/washers in a place where they will not touch or interfere with the horizontal bars of the bed frame. I then used 5/16" x 1" lag bolts to bolt the bedframe onto the boards, pre-drilled with a 1/4" bit 1 inch down (no washers needed). To limit drilling depth you can put electrical tape around your drill bit. Final tip: After fully assembling, I found that one of the four supporting legs under the footboard was always "floating" off the ground, and the bed could "rock" from side to side. I fixed this by taking some self-adhesive furniture pads and sticking 3-4 of them under each of the two outer legs. I had a high-end queen-size bed for years before this one and here is my comparison: 1. the slats and bars don't provide as much support as a solid foundation made of one piece, but they are much more lightweight and much more practical to disassemble and move. I carried both flat-packed boxes up two flights of stairs all by myself with no problem. 2. you can use either either 2 pistons, 1 piston, or zero pistons, depending on your mattress weight. My old bed used large springs and you could use from 1 up to 8 which was much more granular. I have a large heavy Tempurpedic king-size mattress and 2 pistons is enough to easily lift it up, but I have to yank it with some force to pull it back down again. 3. This bed comes with a strap to tie down the foot of the bed when it's raised, which we had to use. My old bed used the cabinet to hold the foot in position when the bed is up. You can get around this either by building your own cabinet, or by bolting a thick support board high up on the wall, near the foot of the bed. 4. The feet of this bed are nice in that they tuck under the bed and do not stick out, and they automatically fold and unfold when putting the bed up and down. But they did have the aforementioned "floating" issue, unlike my old bed which had a full horizontal bar in contact with the ground, which offered great stability. This is not a huge deal since the pistons are taking most of the actual weight, but it is important to be aware and address it.

Now I have a lot of space the only thing though is that they didn't sand the screws to install it to the wall and floor. Thanks God I'm a carpinter and I have tools, but for those that doesn't know how to hold a nail and doesn't have tools you guys should send the screws. But overall the bed is awesome 👌. I recommend it for those that wa ts to jave and extra space in their bedroom.

The legs are in the way to attach a panel to for a built in cabinet look. The first photo is my plan, what I was after and building. The second and third are the photos the seller sent on my 3rd attempt to contact them about different legs. The first they obviously did not read what I sent, the second was no better, and the third has photos above. My question is about different legs that can be out of the way to attach a panel to the frame so it will look like a cabinet. The instructions are crap, nowhere in the instructions are the legs attached. They just magically are. The holes on the frames need to be so they are closest to the area where the slats will go. The bed shows a MAXIMUM weight of 250 lbs with the mattress? My mattress weighs 80 lbs, so on a king sized bed each person should weigh 85 lbs? My smallest grandson weighs more than 140 lbs, big grandson in 6'5 I did not ask what he weighs but him alone with the mattress is over the max. The slats are very thin and hook into a plastic sleeve that attaches to the frame. I will be returning this, and so much work to get it halfway together take it apart to get the holes in the right direction and have the legs be in the way to use it as a wall bed.

I purchased a product and, when it arrived, I realized I ordered the wrong thing for my needs. This was my fault, not the company's fault. I had no dissatisfaction with the product itself. When I contacted them, the company was immediately responsive and initiated a return. The return process was easy and prompt.

Everything about this bed was easy. From shipping (2nd day delivery) to setup. Just an excellent experience. The setup videos on youtube are comprehensive and will help you easily get this bed built. The only information I did not have before setting it up concerned mounting it to either the wall or the floor. In the end I opted for the floor as the space from wall mounting hole to hole is 78 3/4" which will not match up with 16" on center 2x4s. So my option would be to use a cripple or something similar on one side to allow it to mount to the wall. Or, as i did, use redheads to mount it into the floor. The only other gripe I have while assembling it is that you have to be able to figure out what the parts are by looking at them as there are no little stickers with an A Or a number on them. There are some crucial parts that have to go in a certain orientation to be correct. The sides of the frame where the slats plug in for instance, if you assemble that wrong you will have to take it back apart. I got lucky in that I did not read that but still assembled it correctly. Including going to the store to pickup the concrete anchors. This was all done in about 2 hours. I could have been quite a bit faster if i had planned on the floor mounting in the first place but now you know so you can be faster. As you can see we have a fold down treadmll that fits underneath and this was the motivation for the wall bed in the first place. I chose this over many of the $100 or $300 kits that require you to build a cabinet because i did not want all of the work involved in that. This was the perfect choice for simplicity. Their chat support is excellent and they can really help you figure out what steps you need to take and what options you have. I could not ask for better support.

I was a little intrepid about spending so much money for an item that I couldn't see in person prior to purchasing it. I was so pleased when the product arrived, it is well built, the videos for installation are clear and the bed gets tons of use so I know it is durable. Then I had an issue with one part and figured it would be a huge pain to get a replacement but Tim and the crew got me the right part and shipped it to me in a few days and the packaging was incredibly well done! The gas powered pistion lifts are what make the difference, this bed is so easy to use and so durable. I recommend this product to anyone looking for a space saving alternative!
