NorproMeat Hammer, 10 IN

This meat hammer is heavier than I expected. It works well for tenderizing meat but the handle is awkward and not as ergonomic as I had expected. The awkwardness is not a deal breaker for me because of the short amount of time this tool is used in meal preparation, but I think you should know this up front. I would not recommend this for someone with small hands.

Nice and heavy meat hammer. You can beat your meat with ease with this hammer. Only thing I didn't like is the product stickers on it. The hammer is aluminum, and the decals are paper. The fall off in the wash, but leave the nasty glue behind on the handle. It would be better if they used better decals that are easy to peel off.

I'm not one who typically likes to beat meat, but you know... sometimes meat, it just needs to be beat. I grew tired of beating my meat with a frying pan or a heavy glass (so uneven!) and when I saw this, I was interested. In my mind, though, I figure it would be light and not conductive to beating meat at all.Boy was I pleasantly surprised at how much weight was behind this little meat beater! It has a bump (spiked) side that is good at leaving little holes or indentions in the meat you beat. The other side is nice and flat, for when you want your beat meat smooth and flat.I would suggest this to anyone who likes consistancy with their meat and need/want to have their meat well beat.

It is pretty much what you would expect it to be. I later saw similar items in stores for cheaper though.

We purchased several others from different manufacturers and returned all. This hammer is well balanced and a style that suits are needs. VERY SATISFIED.

I bought this one to replace one I have that is round, has the handle in the middle, and has sharp edges that cut the meat. I use it for a lot of chicken cutlets and to stuff them. This one works great and much easer to control not cutting the meat.
