Best of the Cat in the Hat coloring books
We got a bunch of four dollar Cat in the Hat books of various formats as party favors for my son's 4th birthday party. As you might expect, all of the books in this price range are no match for more expensive titles like Inside Your Outside: All About the Human Body (Cat in the Hat's Learning Library) . I'm reviewing the cheaper ones in relation to each other. This is the best of the three coloring books I got. Many of the pages rhyme, and it includes Puzzle Buzz-style mazes, word games, etc. Since it doesn't include crayons (like Oh, Give Me a Home! (Dr. Seuss/Cat in the Hat) (CITH Knows a Lot About That) ) or paints (like Lots of Flocks (Dr. Seuss/Cat in the Hat) (CITH Knows a Lot About That) ) more of the costs went into additional pages. Good coloring book for Cat in the Hat KALAT fans
This is a coloring and activity book-- There are assorted pictures of Cat, Things 1&2, Nick, Sally, and many animals included in related TV episodes. There are also activities such as dot to dot, mazes, matching and other assorted things. This is 85% coloring pages with big bold lines- great for preschool and early grades.

Don't know that I would say the stated age range is appropriate.
It's a mixed thing - the informative (educational) brief statements at the top of each picture are for K-1 age kids, but the pictures seem much more appropriate for kids just starting out with coloring. My 5.5 year-old daughter, who absolutely loves to color, didn't seem very interested/impressed by this book - seemed to me like she looked at it as though it were a "baby book". I was disappointed as we as a family are "Cat in the Hat" fans and I really thought my twins would enjoy it.
