It smells so good that when I get to work in the morning, I just want to sit in the car with the heat on and enjoy the smell
update: Works well in the heat- it was 98 degrees this week and I think that the high beeswax content of Reuzel keeps it holding in the heat much better than a purely petroleum based pomade.Spendy, at $15, but worth it. Bought this after seeing it promoted on youtube videos and a few pomade sites. Seems like there is always a flavor-of-the-month with pomades. This stuff is worth the hype. Smells mellon-y to me, maybe like an apple/mellon bubble gum. It is probably too firm/strong for me because I have light brown, fine, "white-boy" hair- but that is good because I will just use less and it will last longer.Since it is in a beeswax base, it isn't greasy like a petroleum based pomade. The best example of that is that a petroleum pomade will make the floor of the shower slick and this beeswax pomade will not. Also, with petroleum pomades, anything airborne will tend to be collected in my hair. Car hair, dog hairs, pollen, lint, mistress hairs, confetti, loose sequins, glitter, sand, [that was a helluva party] will somehow find your hair and go for a ride. The beeswax stuff is ~there~ and it will be obvious that you have pomade in your hair; but if your head touches something it will not leave a greasy mark on a pillow/car headrest/couch in the lapdance room.(Even if you don't pick this Reuzel- do yourself a favor and get away from gels that dry and leave flakes. The pomades moisturize your scalp and prevents you from throwing actual dandruff (from the cheap gels that dry your skin) and flakes of dried gel that looks just like dandruff.)I'm trying many (about 12) different pomades while I try to find my go-to and the Reuzel is at the top of my list so far.It smells so good that when I get to work in the morning, I just want to sit in the car with the heat on so that I can enjoy the scent.

Great after blow-drying for smoothing hair
I don't go for a slick, pomadey, pompadour look but simply want something to use to smooth our some frizziness after I use a blowdryer. Reuzel Green works great for that -- I can put on a *small* amount after drying my hair and it keeps my hair from frizzing/curling back up. It isn't really shiny unless I use a larger amount too, so it's easy to start small and add a little more if needed. One 4oz tin last a very long time with this kind of use.Being oil-based, it goes through your hair very smoothly too (vs a denser fiber or clay) -- hair won't feel like it's being pulled out.People say there's a green apple smell and that's definitely true. It's not my favorite (I like less sweet smells), but it's subtle and no dealbreaker for sure -- much better than than Reuzel White Clay's nauseating white chocolate peppermint smell.

Subdue even the most unruly hair
I've left water-based for oil-based pomades and have not looked back. Requires a slightly different skill set for application, and removal of product during shampooing is less successful but acceptable. In the last analysis, your scalp naturally produces oil, why use a water soluble pomade that cannot moisturize the scalp nearly as effectively as a pomade that is formulated with natural oils and beeswax for hold. The Scent is underwhelming but very pleasant, notes of apple and mint.

Found the Right One
I've just started using pomades in the past year, and this is what I've settled on. I used water based "pomades" for a while, but didn't like the "crispyness" of my hair that they gave, and once washed out, they always left my hair extremely dry feeling. This is quite the opposite of that. As advertised, it's grease. It's not, however, like the slick, slimy grease of unwashed hair. At room temperature, it's pretty hard, and has a tacky feeling like lanolin (I don't remember, but it might have lanolin in it). I still have to start with my hair slightly wet to be able to shape it, or else it all just wants to stand straight up. But once it's dried out, it stays, and even through a physically active day of work. And humidity has little to no affect on it, where water based products loosen up.The smell is nice. It's not strong, and not something that others tend to notice, just a bit minty with a hint of fruit, like a freshly sliced apple. It's not a candy/bubblegum kind of fruitiness. All in all, I'm completely happy with this stuff. It's the only "real" grease/oil pomade I've had, but I feel no need to keep shopping around at this point. This is everything I need

Impossible to wash off hands
It holds ok, but it’s no joke, this is straight up grease and impossible to wash off. You can wash your hands 10 times and it won’t come off. Best you can do is try to wipe off as much as possible.
