Carolina Custom Cages, 48Lx24Wx18H Extra-Long Deep Terrarium; Easy Assembly

I really, really, like this tank. I bought it for my 2 year old northern blue tongue skink and he fits in it nicely. Very happy with my purchase and I think my bluey enjoys the added extra space too. I highly recommend tanks from these guys!CONS:- STANDS: Finding a stand/desk big enough to house it was difficult, which I did end up finding an all wood desk at IKEA that fit the bill nicely (the Hemnes model if you're looking for the same).- BASKING TEMPERATURES: The other thing I have trouble with is getting the basking spot to be hot enough and I'm already using a 160w bulb. I want temps to be somewhere around 100-110 but they're only reaching about 95. It's not bad but I still want to be able to give him the option of being warmer if he wants. I got a higher basking "rock" though that's got stairs to get him closer to the light so I think that will solve the problem for me.- LOOSE STYROFOAM IN PACKAGING: When I took the bottom part of the tank and the top mesh pieces out of the box they were covered in tiny styrofoam bits but that's nothing a little canned air and a wet cloth can't solve. The panel pieces are individually protected in plastic wrap though so I didn't need to clean those off.- PLASTIC FEET: I would have liked the bottoms of the feet to be lined in some kind of rubber. It slides around on the desk a little too easily for my comfort zone. I ended up getting one of my extra drawer liners and cut out 4 pieces to put under each foot to keep it from sliding since it's made of some kind of rubber. It works perfectly.PROS:- PACKAGE PROTECTION: The package was protected very well. There was styrofoam in the first box to keep the second smaller box inside nice and snug so it wouldn't move around. To add to that, there was more styrofoam in the second box to further protect and cushion the glass inside. All of my pieces arrived in perfect condition.- FRONT DOORS: I love that this tank has front door options instead of having only a mesh top. I'm short so it would have been difficult for me to reach inside without standing on a stool or chair. Both of the front doors open and suction cups were given to use as handles for each sliding door. The suction cups have not fallen off since I built the tank almost two weeks ago and they are still going strong. It locks and unlocks smoothly too. I added a chain on my key to connect it to its suction cup so I can keep it in the lock at all times, but still have it connected to the suction cup in case it falls out. Otherwise I would have to take the suction cup off the tank every time I want to lock and unlock it.- STURDY MESH TOP: The mesh is thicker than most cage tops I usually see on tanks and I really like that. I'm confident about leaving the heat lamp directly on it if I need to without having to worry about the weight of the lamp disconnecting the mesh from the frame and falling into the tank (might just be me). The top of this cage does not move, budge, or bow at all to the weight of my lamp being placed on top of it and I have the biggest size you can get. I still have my lamp connected to a stand though since I went ahead and bought one. It also looks really nice since it's black like the frame.- ASSEMBLY: It was completely painless and easy to assemble. I'm a 100lb tiny woman and I was able to assemble it within 30-40 minutes after cleaning the styrofoam off. I needed some assistance from my fiance to get the bottom part of the tank on the desk since the bottom portion of the cage is already assembled for you (it's water sealed for you) and was too heavy for me to lift alone. There's also stickers up in a corner of every glass panel piece to designate where the panels go in the tank. Also, there's spots in the back corners of both mesh top pieces to run cords through that you can keep closed if you're not using them which was an original concern of mine.

My Bearded Dragon and I are VERY happy with our new terrarium. After reading reviews I was not surprised that assembly was super easy. It is as high a quality terrarium as you could hope for. I like that the two suction cups act not only as handles but also as bumpers for the sliding doors. Some reviews mentioned that the glass panels were not marked showing if the pieces were side, back or door pieces. When I got mine I had tape measure in hand to identify which piece went where. I was pleasantly surprised to see that Carolina Custom Cages had already addressed that issue by applying small stickers to identify each piece, showing that they really listen to customers` concerns. I did have a shipping issue, however, related to UPS' rough handling of the product. When I reached out to CCC for help in resolving the issue their response was immediate and to my satisfaction. All things considered both the terrarium and the vendor are exceptional.

This is my first review I’ve done on amazon and it’s because my expectations were completely blown away!!!! I have nothing bad to say. The quality is great and the assembly was easy (coming from one one who does not build anything) and the over all look of the tank is beautiful!! The mechanics of the tank are great if you have your tank of a higher surface like I do because the front doors slide open!!! Overall incredible product and will definitely be buying from this company in the future!!Also, the background is also from them and while it was expensive, the photo is printed on photo-poster paper so the quality is great!!!!I have no complaints!!

I bought this terrarium for my Halmahera Blue Tongue Skink. The bottom few inches of the tank is waterproof and can hold the humidity well, which is needed for her subspecies. She's really loving the larger space to roam around and I love the way it looks too. I also like the sliding doors that came with suction cups to use as handles which has actually been working quite well. The screened top is very nice and sturdy too. It was easy to put together and arrived undamaged. They sent a reassuring message before delivery of what to do in case there might be damage but it was packaged very well and arrived safely.

I knew I was ordering a big tank, but when it arrived it was a lot bigger than I imagined. My beardie can run in it whenever he wants. It was a little difficult to assemble, but once put together it's perfect. The only thing we don't like is that only one side of the glass doors slides open. The other side stays still. So we just open the left side.It has a warning about heat melting the top screen, but we've had it for over a week now with 3 lights on top. The screen hasn't melted or caused any issues. It's definitely an awesome home for our spoiled beardie.

The step up in size from what is typically available in the pet stores is appreciated by my bearded dragon. I take him out of the cage most days but he now has room to move around when inside the cage.The cage was easy to assemble and the assembled product is sturdy and handsome.Word of caution: the box in which the cage arrive is enormous and very heavy. I had my cage shipped to a mailbox since we get a lot of package theft in our area. The mailbox people weren't too excited to receive the enormous package. I could barely lift it and fit it in the back of my largish hatchback. love the tank, but i think i recieved the wrong size. ordered a 48x18x24 but i got a 49x18x18. they also refuse to refund my money until i take it apart and send it back. im a 110 pount girl. this tank is 91 pounds. im pretty upset!!! so before putting together measure out the pieces 😓
