The Wives

Not as sparkly as her previous books
I was waiting eagerly for Lauren's latest book; she has been one of my most favorite authors. However, starting from the confusion about the same book having two titles, her latest offering proved to be a tad disappointing. The characters seem to go haywire and loose ended; the showdown-cum-uneasy-truce between Karolina and her husband is anticlimactic, considering the high-profile natures of them both; and Emily seems to have lost her punch. Miranda Priestly seems to have been diefied into some womnder-woman who can wave a magic wand and make anything happen! Oh please..! Also, apart from a brief mention of Andy and a bigger but yet brief mention of Miranda, the track does not go anywhere on their sides, disappointing readers. So, nothing so spectacular really...

I enjoyed reading this book, it was nice to see how the character Emily lived after leaving Runway magazine .

Same story different Titles and Covers
First the story is great. But I am pissed I bought both these books AND THEY ARE THE SAME BOOK! With different covers and titles! What the heck is with that!
