We’ve had them for 6 months now, they’ve been working out well. No issues.

My basement steps are shallower than most (9.25" including bull nose). These are the only stair rug mats I could find that would fit. However, the are a little too deep for my steps. You can see in the photo that the installed mats have a quarter inch upturned where it hits the higher step. It's not really a problem and just took a little more care during installation. If you try to fit these on 8.5" or 9" steps, you're going to have a little more trouble. Otherwise, I'm happy very with the purchase. Fir the price, the quality and durability are good.

These add a level of safety for people and dogs, and they are easy to install and look great too.

We first removed older wrapped-around carpet from our newly-painted wooden steps down to our old unfinished basement. I was concerned about both ourselves and our little dog slipping on the newly-uncarpeted steps. (The steps consisted of two stringers with open boards attached on the top at each step rise, with flat berber carpeting stapled around each step.). These new pads were SUPER-SIMPLE to attach, and provided the coverage over the front lip of each step that we wanted. No labor charge for a carpet installer or effort for ourselves to cut, bind and do the work with a piece of remnant carpeting!! An extremely neat, instant finish.as soon as they were placed on each step! Two simple adhesive strips are attached to the back of each step. (FOR ADDED CAUTION, we decided to add three additional staples to the back curve of each pad, just to decrease the chance of the adhesive possibly slipping. Otherwise, NO TRUE LABOR to achieve this neat, quick improvement!!) WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS STEP-REPAIR OPTION!!

These stair treads are a nice touch leading down to my lair. I like them so much, I sit on them, read, use my phone and ponder. They’ve made my steps cozy, hip and much safer. They stick perfectly. I bought carpet tape as recommended in some of the reviews but it wasn’t necessary. I just used a little piece on each tread since I bought it. No need to be wasteful. As a reference point, I only I use these stairs about four times a week, and it’s usually just me. I like the beige contrast on my dark wood stairs. The quality is decent. I’m very pleased with my purchase.

I gave them 4 star because they are much thinner than I anticipated. You can see the white backing in spots. I put them on my steps last week. Steps go upstairs which aren’t used too much. The few times I went up & down the steps, they stayed put. I may use rug tape because there’s only 1 small piece of adhesive. They should have used more adhesive. For the price, they’re ok.

Seems durable enough to last awhile. Best part is they do not move even when vacuuming.

They look beautiful and are a great quality. I would say the only iffy thing is the adhesion as it is a few strips that adhere it to the stairs. So far so good but overtime I see having to replace them with some heavy duty adhesive.

Work great for what we need. They aren't all exactly the same size so if you're looking for perfection these may not be right for you. By this I mean maybe a couple mm off in the dimensions from one to the next, which the product description does warn about. Other than that they have been working well so far, haven't moved since we installed them. We did make sure ro wipe each step with a lysol wipe and dry with paper towel before installing each one to ensure the stair was clean and dry.I would definitely purchase these again.

The basement steps in our old house looked pretty bare and uninviting. These simple new stair mats helped aesthetically and safety-wise. Pleased with how it has a 1 inch bent section to cover the lips of the stairs. Pretty easy to install.We added extra tape to ensure mats don’t move around. Be sure to buy the type of 2-sided tape that doesn’t leave residue and damage your floor when mats are eventually replaced down the road.Mats are definitely not overly thick and luxurious....but still a much nicer feel and less slippery compared to the wood stairs underneath. I like the look of the darkish colour and I’m guessing it won’t get dirty looking as fast as a lighter shade. If you’re looking for a quick little reasonably priced home improvement for your basement steps, I’d recommend these mats.

I redid my stairs. Pulled off old rug, usual preparation, then primed, painted and put the Grey Carpet Treads on.I always read reviews on a product I’m interested in. This product is highly rated. Got these for my little dog. I looked at so many and I am so happy I chose this set. The quality is amazing! And I love that it hangs over the step which it what my dog needs to grip as she is only 11lbs. It was easy to install and looks so good!

These are incredibly easy to install, just peel and place! Even with pets going up and down they’ve stayed in place, one cat that uses his claws to climb as he can’t use his back legs. I have a few left over which is great in case they get a pull or tear but so far so good! Excuse the mess, haven’t vacuumed in a cpl days. The value for money -can’t go wrong. I love how they look, matching perfectly with my decor.
