E61 Group Commercial Bottomless Portafilter

Edit:Shame on me. I previously stated that I had an improper seal and a little mist or stray spray because of it. I was wrong. It was channeling as mentioned in a comment. Seal at the top is fine. I guess the channeling is even a good thing as it pushes you to improve the shot extraction/ tamping. I like the tripple shot size and just watching the espresso come out and dance into the glass is absolutely stunning.

Disappointed. This feels lighter and less substantial than brand-name portafilters sold by specialty coffee supply stores, and mine came missing the end cap on the handle (see pic). I thought it was a bargain but missed that there is a $9 shipping charge. It’s no bargain when you factor in shipping and quality. Spend $5-10 more and get a quality brand-name product from a specialty store. To add insult to injury, the vendor (which is NOT Amazon) refused to issue a full refund and said it was my fault that it did not fit my machine. How rude and presumptuous. Newsflash: It fit my machine fine. I returned it because it was defective and poor quality.

This is a fantastic product. Yes, it does use more coffee than the standard single shot. Yes, it does spray a little on the backsplash. Yes, its more of an indulgent product. HOWEVER! This portafilter is fantastic. The crema I pull on my Rancilio Silvia V3 Espresso machine is quite literally 3/4 of each shot I pull (for EVERY SHOT if you grind and prep correctly). It is truly amazing and absolutely fantastic!! I later found out that there is an actual Rancilio Silvia V3 bottomless portafilter specifically made for the Rancilio machine. I purchased the Rancilio portafilter as well and found that there is a great deal less spraying with the specific Rancilio portafilter than this one as the Rancilio is specifically made for the Rancilio machine. If you have a machine that has a standard E61 portafilter, check SeattleCoffeeGear as they have Rancilio, La Spaziale, Rocket Giotto, Rocket Cellini, La Marzocco, Saeco and Starbucks. Otherwise, I would HIGHLY recommend this product if you want to experience a truly magnificent shot that SO good that you might just stop getting anything from ANY coffee shop anywhere!

Nice quality, heavy and shiny, feels and looks like a quality item. Fits my Profitec Pro 700.

Wow beware. The portafilter DOES NOT come with the silver end cap like you would expect. They strategically did not take a product photo that would include the end cap.

Good quality. Works very well. The cup is very big, it holds 28 gram of coffee and makes a strong triple shot espresso.

The media could not be loaded. Hello There,I am a newbie and has been "baristing" in my house for the last 6 months or so, in that time I've learned so much from most of you all over the internet... thank you all by the way :)Now I bought this Bottomless Portafilter to be used with my Rancilio HSD-SILVIA Silvia Espresso Machine mixed with a Rancilio HSD-ROC-SS Rocky Coffee Grinder and some more gadgets bought mostly here in Amazon and here's how it worked using the original double filter that came with my Silvia. Still have to master the bigger one that comes with this portafilter.I'm not sure how good or bad was this extraction but this portafilter works as advertised, my only advise is to pull it a little bit harder than the original one for it to fully seal.Ok... why not 5 stars? just because it is ugly... very ugly indeed. Other than that, it works flawlessly so far with a Silvia v3.Hope this helps!!! :)JP

This item is great! It has the Rancillo logo and it is made in Italy! Item is nicely built! Must have!
