Glad I Picked These!
Unlike the Maxi-grip Dunlop guitar pick, which feels a bit bigger and with a duller finish, the Dunlop Delrin 500 Prime Grip offers a polished, effortless, bevelled edge guitar pick that works well right out of the bag. Also, the double sided grip circle works well.I opted for the 1.14mm because I'm not a fan of the thinner gauges, although I may stretch to a .88mm pick when using lighter gauge strings so that I don't have to bother with a lighter grip on the pick.I've use all kinds of picks over the years, and so far, the Dunlop picks haven't let me down. For me, these picks are a good addition to my kit. I haven't used any others since they arrived. However, I would like to see them in a pearloid green type of colour.

Good 'Attack' for a lightweight plectrum
As a long time user of Jim Dunlop 0.46mm Nylon plectra, I thought I'd try these 0.46mm Delrin plectra instead. Bright red in colour, these plectra are thin, lightweight and are made easier to grip by the pattern embossed into them. The plastic (Delrin?) is harder than the nylon I am used to so a little less flexible and creates a slightly sharper sound than I am used to - the 'attack' is more pronounced than for a nylon plectrum. They are a perfectly good plectrum that should prove durable and will appeal to many players. For my folky style of playing, I shall buy some more Jim Dunlop 0.46mm Nylon plectra.

Great bass picks
Although I've been playing bass for a number of years, I've always played finger style. So experimenting with picks is a new journey, trying picks in varying thicknesses from 0.5mm to 2mm. Finding these Jim Dunlop Prime Grip Delrin 500 2mm picks that have raised wording and design on them has been a revolution and these are definitely my new go-to picks as they work very well on both round wound and flat wound strings with good retention of tone, don't slip in my fingers, and show no signs of wear as yet.

Grey verses Purple
Having used "the purple" Delrin 500 41P for some years after discovering that the Yng uses them - after one being kicked in my general direction, I thought I would try "the Grey" 450P. I dont have any technical idea what the difference may be except that "the Grey" has a nice grip to its surface - so I thought great, this must be an improvement. I have not the foggiest idea why, but I still prefer "the Purple" . To the naked eye both picks look identical except that "the Grey", for me, feels very unforgiving whereas, er, the other, continues to flow across the strings ( I guess, when you are used to it). So thats all I can say, not very enlightening, though maybe some boffin can answer what the difference is for future consumers undecided between the two. Cheers

Great pics
Become one of my favourite plectrums. I used a tool dip for better grips. Out of the box they were average grip.

Love the feel
I recently purchased the JIM DUNLOP Delrin 500 Prime Grip .96mm Guitar Picks and I have been extremely impressed with their performance. As a guitarist, I am always on the lookout for high-quality picks that can enhance my playing experience, and these picks definitely deliver.First of all, the grip on these picks is fantastic. The Prime Grip technology provides a comfortable and secure grip, making it easier to hold onto the pick while playing. This is especially helpful for fast-paced and intricate playing styles. I no longer have to worry about my pick slipping out of my fingers during a performance. The .96mm thickness of these picks is perfect for my playing style.allowing me to play both rhythm and lead parts with ease. The picks also have a smooth surface, which produces a clean and crisp sound on the strings. One of the standout features of these picks is their durability. I have been using them for a few weeks now and they still look and feel brand new. They show no signs of wear and tear, even after hours of playing. This is a huge plus for me as I tend to go through picks quite quickly.Another great aspect of these picks is their versatility. They work well with both acoustic and electric guitars, and I have even used them on my bass guitar with great results. The sound produced is consistent and reliable, making them a go-to pick for any type of playing. In terms of value for money, these picks are definitely worth the investment. They come in a pack of 12, so you have plenty of backups in case you lose or break one. And considering their durability, I believe they will last me a long time, making them a cost-effective choice.Overall, I highly recommend the JIM DUNLOP Delrin 500 Prime Grip .96mm Guitar Picks to any guitarist looking for a reliable and high-quality pick. The grip, thickness, durability, and versatility make them a top choice for any playing style. I will definitely be purchasing more of these picks in the future.
