Well built, well designed
Really like this recessed receptacle. Built like a tank, works great, installs well, looks really good.

Great Quality & Will Make Your Floor Outlets Work
When we moved into our new apartment we had this terrible, ugly, cheap floor box with tabs that you had to flip up to get access to the outlets. That means you have the tabs, the plugs and the cable NOT flush to the floor, easy to trip over and impossible to move furniture over. This takes a little more effort to install. I paid for a professional electrician to put it in. What is above the floor now is no higher than the height of the power strip as it lays on the floor. It is tucked away under our bookshelf, unseen, and providing power to my whole entertainment center. When we give our apartment back to the landlord, the clean and beautiful look of this brass, flush floor, recessed outlet box, there will be nothing for them to object to. Can you even find it in the picture?

Recess Floor Outlet With Both Function and Style!
Highly recommend this floor receptacle outlet! Had this installed with the USB C ports and being able to keep 2 cords constantly plugged in as well as an additional power plug for a table lamp with everything below the floor surface is the best design! The adjustable depth within the floor surface is also particularly important for installation variables.

Hatch is very difficult to open
The hatch on this outlet is ridiculously hard to open. There's too much tension in the clasp. You cannot use your fingers and will need a flat head screw driver to provide leverage, and when you do this you'll begin to scratch at the soft metal of the outlet. Apart from this the outlet is solid, looks good and is affordable. Installation is difficult but it's understandably a complex device.

Perfect, no more extension cord across the Floor.
Excellent, very nice. Do cut on the outside of the template though, box screws extend about an 1/8"

Well built except for the outlet itself
It looks good, and it’s definitely built like a tank. Cool. It’s also extraordinarily hard to open- you need some sort of pry bar or screwdriver to pop it. My unit installed nicely however the outlet itself was DOA. I replaced it with a Lutron unit from the hardware store and now it all works just fine. Especially given the price, I would not buy this fixture system again. It’s fine, and I’m sure it will work for forever now that it’s installed. It just took two trips to the hardware store and a replacement part to name it happen.

Try to open the lid BEFORE installing - had to file the locking pins - works great - easy install!
Prior to installing I discovered the lid was extremely hard to open pushing up from the underside with both thumbs. I did not want scratch it so I did NOT try pry it open from the top. After reclosing it I was unable to push it open again, and I'm quite strong, I popped it open again from the underside using a wooden dowel that I banged downward to the floor..Then I siad to self - "go ahead file those damn pins". After several test trials I got the easy opening I wanted. The product is quite superior to a lot of the junk that is out here on the market. Tip: Scan the template on the back side of the instructions so you can easily cut out the template without destroying the instructions on the front page.
