When monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity's resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenceless in the face of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes - a washed up former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi) - who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind's last hope against the mounting apocalypse.

A visually stunning flick! 😍😍👌👌❤️
Giant robots fighting giant monsters and looking cool at the same time is what Pacific Rim is all about.Pros:-Cool cgi-Mind blowing action scenes-Decent story (admit that you didn't watch this for story!)-Decent acting-Guillermo del Toro-Jaegers and Kaijus look authentic.Cons:-Needed more CHERNO ALPHA & Crimson Typhoon; at least for 5 minutes straight.Absolutely LOVED it!! The visuals were amazing, the action kept me captivated to keep watching and see what happens next. Would definitely recommend this film to any Sci-fi fans out there!!

Great movie
This is Bluray review, not movie review.When you see this movie on 3D TV, first word will come to your mind is "OMG". It is must have movie for all 3D TV owners & Home Theater owners. Picture & sound both will blow your mind away. It comes with 2 discs, 3D & 2D. So buy it if you still haven't!!

I am satisfied with this product as it has 3 disks:1. 3D version (with 5.1 track of DTS-HD MA English and Dolby Polish, Czech & Hungarian according to the print on the case)2. 2D version (with 5.1 track of DTS-HD MA English and 7.1 German along with Hindi,Telugu & Tamil in Dolby)3. ExtrasI wouldn't mind even if didn't have regional languages on 3D but this one has foreign ones on it. It's quite strange..!

Good Blu-ray video & audio quality
The special effects uplift what would have otherwise been a ho-hum movie.Got the 2 disc Blu-ray with DTS movie soundtrack. (Amazon's spec mentions only 1 Disc).Video & Audio transfer quality is very good. Strangely, the English soundtrack, which is relevant for us, is only in DTS 5.1 while the German soundtrack is in DTS 7.1Delivered on time by Amazon.

Value for Money....Cliche but true
First and foremost, this was my first purchase from amazon.in and it was a great experience. I ordered on the night of 7th and got it by evening of 9th. Less than 2 days.. Packaging was good for a Bluray. I did a bit of research and this was the best I was willing to pay. As far as the Movie goes google about it. It just managed to be a mild success. Lovers of VFX, please see this movie(2D) and this movie actually was a runner for the Academy award for VFX. The Rs 650 2D version contains two discs, there's the movie on disc one with special features like making etc... and strangely there's another disc with more of good stuff like Drawings etc..At this price good buy if you want o show off your Home theater setup... Looking for more of such deals from Amazon :)A 9V 10M 5

Be careful--wrong region
Apparently, I didn't read the description well enough because the DVD I purchased under this item will not work in my US player. Disappointed!

Wrong region code
Wrong region code and could not be played by our Sony DVD player. Good movie though once we went through the headache of exchanging.
