I purchased the laptop and was excited to use it. It was shipped to me and had some dead pixels and light bleed on the corners of the screen. Okay, no big deal. I send pictures and arrange an exchange. I want to be a flexible customer and I feel like it's not cool to do a refund and buy a new one. Well, that decision is being punished. It's been nearly two weeks, they have the laptop, and my money and they've done nothing. I know they have it based on ups delivery confirmation. I haven't gotten an update after they said they would contact me once they got it. I had to say "I know you have it, what's the status" and they said "oh still working on it". More and more time goes by and I still haven't heard anything. I should have done the less honest thing and just refunded it. I also had to pay $24 for a box to ship it, which I'm also SOL on. So I guess I'm going to be out on the money I paid, the laptop I bought, and the money on the box. I'm just waiting for the Amazon dispute to fix it at this point because they won't fix or update me on the issue. This should have been a very simple fix. Don't be an easy customer here. Do the more painful thing with this company and get a refund and buy a new one. It will hit their payment processor and cost them more money.

If you buy this product, you should be aware that it has no warranty. The seller has voided the HP warranty by modifying the system internally. The hard drive died on my system after about 6 months. I waded through HP's customer service hotline and got to a tech. Went through all the troubleshooting steps. Got authorization to send my system in for a covered warranty repair. When HP got my system, they denied warranty coverage. They gave me two options: (1) pay $504 to replace my ~$99 hard drive or (2) have them send back my broken laptop. Their official reason for denying warranty service is "Unauthorized modification or misuse (modifications to the motherboard, or other internal components, case or original service tag." I didn't do any of those things—the seller did.

Horrible vendor. Laptop arrived in a questionable box. Likely refurbished or tampered with. Would not recommend. Computer is often unresponsive when just powering it on. Typically we'll see a power reset screen when it does turn on. Returned item and got the same result. Possibly the laptops are defective but on my third try I got different issues. Best of luck to anyone willingly purchasing.
