Pen-style Mini Universal Lancing Device with Adjustable Depth and Alternate Site

I just got the lancing device, so I cannot talk about durability. However, it works easily, reliably, and pokes a hole just big enough to draw a bit of blood. Fits my *standard* lancets well, no fuss, but will not fit "non-standard" ones, AFAIK. The depth gauge works dependably. It is a bit slim and surface is very smooth, so for arthritic hands it might not be the best very choice, but otherwise, so far, after one lancing, I would highly recommend it.The Alternate Site Lancing cap is all clear transparent, so it is super easy to misplace. I suggest sticking a sticker on the ASL cap that will make it more readily noticeable.It is important to "cock" it fully, otherwise it will not work and there is no obvious indicator that it is not ready.Over all everything I needed; I am satified if it holds up to heavy use (+/- 4 lancings a day).

They fit :) I bought the wrong lancets. I have a Delica lancing device and bought Ultra Soft lancets. I bought this and my lancets fit! It works as well as any lancet device that I've had.10/24/15ETA: As I was changing the lancet I noticed that the depth dial was off by 2 clicks i.e. 2 below 0. I don't recall the pen being like this from the beginning. It may have occurred when I was struggling to remove (twist off) the bottom part to replace the lancet without reading the instruction. [before coffee and without reading glasses] It still works great. It's just that I gave to set it at 0 instead of 2.Oh, and a gentle reminder, especially those with One Touch Ultra or One Touch Ultra Mini, these glucometers were made, specifically, to use very small amounts of blood. Gone are the days of 2-4 times a day blood letting. And, please, milk your finger from the bottom knuckle [at the palm] to your finger tip. This should give you plenty of blood for the sample and be less traumatic for your finger tips. As diabetics, we heal at a much slower rate. As we age, we heal slower than when w were younger. I say all of this as a RN of 25+ years <3

My problem with this device is that it doesn't do a good job of pricking my skin, which, after all, is what it is supposed to do. After many years of lancing my fingers, the skin is fairly tough. Even putting the device on the deepest setting didn't help much. Also, in this device you have to pull the whole plunger back. In other devices, a one finger pullback is all that is needed. Most inconvenient!

Seems a little flimsy. Works properly, worth the money

This was the same pen I was given years ago when I first began testing. I use my forearm for testing, and having the clear cap to see if I have drawn enough blood is very handy. Newer lancing devices don't care about that and have opaque caps that tell you nothing until you lift the cap off your skin. This is so much better. How much better? In my mind, enough to justify what I think is a rather expensive cost for such a little thing they used to hand out for free.

We were given 300 lancets which did not fit our model of lancet pen, so we were considering giving away those lancets until we decided to find a compatible lancet pen to use them...and we found several, but chose this one because it was only $5 new. We got the lancet pen today and immediately cut open the package to check it out. The lancets fit perfectly in it. The screw-on tip cover was swappable -- one is clear and set to depth 5 permanently, the other was white with adjustable 1-5 settings for depth. The operation was easy to figure out, as well. Very happy with our purchase.

Does not work the way it's supposed to. I turn the dial for the adjustment and it stays the same regardless what number it's on.
