An easy tool to use when trying to master colour correcting, is the colour wheel. For instance, red is directly across from green on the colour wheel. The green colour will neutralise the red, hence green concealer works best to cover red blemishes. Concealer – To cover and conceal small imperfections Yellow – Perfect for covering up purple or blue bruises, veins, and under-eye circles. Green – Neutralises any redness on the skin. (If the skin has widespread redness as windburn, sunburn or rosacea) Purple – Suitable for eliminating any unwanted yellow undertones on the skin Peach/salmon – Ideal for brightening the eye area and cover signs of fatigue. Also works well to give sallow olive toned skin a much-needed radiance Tips & Advice When applying concealer, it is important that it is patted onto the skin and not rubbed, as it would otherwise be wiped off. Apply a small amount of concealer and gently pat it on with a fingertip. If applied to areas with fine lines or wrinkles, the concealer can crease. In order to prevent this, apply a primer before applying the colour corrector concealer and set with powder. This can be done by dipping a fluffy brush or powder puff into a powder and gently pressing it on the area.
