It Takes Longer To Blink Before Pages Load
I'm not one for writing reviews on stuff I buy but I absolutely have to make an exception here. I am so far beyond impressed with this wifi adapter that it boggles my mind. I bought myself a new (but used) Dell desktop over the past weekend and discovered it didn't have a wireless/wifi card built in. Not an issue at all for me because I've used this type of USB antenna adapter before, albeit at lower processing rates. As my review title states: it takes me longer to blink before pages load with this ANEWISH adapter. Pages load before the devil gets the news. I have not tried this adapter up against any video streaming or downloading processes yet, as this device arrived just a couple of hours ago.If my rush to review this tells you anything, it should speak to your smart senses of how to boost your internet speed. Many VERIFIABLE reviewers here mention the fragility of this device, and they are correct. BUT, as with anything valuable, please be careful with how you handle, use, store and travel with this. I recommend a sturdy container for traveling, such as a hardshell eyeglass case.In these times of increasing worry, stress, fear, uncertainty, please indulge yourself with a device that will surely reduce a great deal of your frustration...whether entertainment or productivity. If you and/or your children are working from home and schooling, I will say this device can help boost wifi response and speed.I hope my review helps you all. I'd also like to say that, even though I don't know any of you personally, I wish you, your families and friends the very best blessings God can bestow as we navigate 2020 and (ugh!) COVID-19. Please, love yourselves, family and friends and do not take any one or any thing for granted. WE WILL GET THROUGH ALL THIS TOGETHER! We have to.

Easy to set up and allows me to access internet on a computer that lacks wifi capability
UPDATE....I bought one of these and it didn't work well at all, as it kept losing connection. After leaving a review addressing my poorly-working device, the seller reached out and offered to send me a replacement. I tested the replacement wifi adapter and it works very well, consistently providing a strong internet connection, without dropping. I now understand why people were giving good reviews. I must've ended up with a defective adapter the first time around. I'm thankful not only for the great product, but also for the very helpful customer service the seller provided. I use it on a computer tower that doesn't have built in wifi capability, but it is in the same room as my modem, so I'm not sure if the connection is as strong if used further from the modem location.FORMER REVIEW, PRIOR TO SELLER ISSUING A REPLACEMENT........This will not stay connected for longer than 30 minutes and then takes forever to reconnect, sometimes I even have to restart my modem for it to reconnect. I only decided on this one after reading all the good reviews, and unless I ended up with a reject, I don't understand why so many people raved about it.

Few Tries on Raspberry Pi - Notes for Realtek 8812BU Revision
I did not read the reviews too closely before purchasing this antenna, and had some difficulties getting it to work on a Raspberry Pi 3B+.If you need Linux compatibility and are not comfortable with cloning code from Github and compiling software from source, this probably isn't the adapter you should purchase. The adapter works out of the box on Windows 10, and thinking ahead to potential issues on Linux I took a screenshot of Windows properties for the adapter. These properties where labeled as "Realtek 8812BU Wireless LAN 802.11ac USB NIC"OK, so the product description on the Amazon page includes a link to Github site that has instruction on how to compile and install a driver for Linux, however that linked version (8812AU) is not compatible with the adapter I received. I nearly gave up after a few more attempts on configuring the source files, but found some additional reviews here on Amazon that pointed me towards more specific 8812BU installation info. Lesson learned, probably just should have searched for "8812BU Linux" from the get-go.The 'rtl88x2bu' repo on Github, from user 'cilynx', is what eventually got the ANEWISH AC1200 working on a Raspberry Pi 3B+ for me.

Heat, time of use and periods for rest.
I love this I am not out of range now and it seems like things are just going faster. I had a 2.4 dual antenna but it always seemed to be running slow like it was fighting to stay on. This is nice because it has has 2.4 and 5 so if it can run 5 it will and only slow if need be. The supposed breaks after 2 weeks isn’t true I have had mine for a month and it still runs like a champ. I do pay more attention to the heat now, as is told Continued extended periods of use can have bad effects so I don’t go longer than 6 hours then give it at least a 6 hour break. All in all it works well just don’t mess with it a lot. If you have Windows 10 or higher you should be in the clear and not need to download a thing just plug it in. It’s good for just boosting the power of the laptop and its old internal WiFi antenna or providing you with a reliable WiFi antenna if yours broke or not have one. I don’t suggest that you use this without reading the manual since some things it will never work with.
