Good book, very good techniques in book, loved it and so did others who like paintings... would definitely recommend. Seller imported it so took time but worth the wait

The grand compendium of watercolour techniques. A complete reference book (A-Z) on the medium ... I must say : indispensible for a beginner and intermediate watercolour artist. Will inspire confidence and very importantly enhances artistic productivity. A must have.

Absolutely fantastic book or rather books since its actually two books. Helped me a lot understand negative painting and painting water bodies, my weak areas. I would say this is a must buy for all watercolor painting learners.

If you want to learn about the essentials of Water Coloring, I suggest to go for this book.

Getting the special anniversary edition is a great deal as it has 2 books in this 1! Some truly beautiful paintings & many tips, some very unusual & practical, for beginner & intermediate artists. Would call it a super deal at this price!

O livro veio muito bem empacotado e em ótimas condições, chegou muito tempo antes do previsto e é muito lindo. Mostra coisas mais artesanais e de menor custo pra pessoas que usam tinta aquarela combater os altos preços.

In assoluto uno dei migliori libri che potete trovare riguardo gli acquerelli .... L'autore spiega dettagliatamente e con numerosi esempi praticamente qualsiasi tecnica possibile con questo medium di pittura, sono presenti delle sezioni dedicate a soggetti specifici come paesaggi, nature morte etc... corredate da esempi passo passo ma anche da altri più generici in modo da far capire al lettore come applicare i concetti illustrati in situazioni differenti. Questo libro anche se dedicato agli acquerelli contiene miriadi di nozioni che sono applicabili benissimo a qualsiasi altra tecnica pittorica (olio acrilico, guazzo...), vengono infatti dati consigli sulla composizione dell'opera, sulla scelta dei colori sull'utilizzo dei pennelli etc. che sono validi con qualsiasi medium con cui ci ritroviamo a dipingere. Il testo è adatto sia ad amatori che a pittori esperti è talmente completo che qualunque sia il vostro livello di conoscenza troverete comunque degli spunti interessanti.... Se conoscete bene la lingua inglese e volete un libro sugli acquerelli vi consiglio assolutamente di comprarlo, non troverete niente di più completo!

Love it. So many ideas and information packed.

It is a great book for its price. Has all the info to start watercolor from scratch. I would recommend buying it before even spending money on material- I wish I had! Has some useful color charts comparisons for different paint brands. All the popular are there, besides Sennelier and Mijello's mission gold. Also has recommendation for palettes, brushes and other auxiliary material like sponges, masking tapes etc. Besides material, It demonstrated the basic techniques with examples that promote creativity and crafting - if you are into it. It has some great info on composition and also some psychological support for the "artist". I am sure it will serve me as a reference book in the future. As a downside, since it's a conjunction of 2 books some sections are repeated but the 2nd time the info is more up to date. Also, it covers the more traditional use of watercolor so if you are looking for a modern look or watercolor sketching there is not much info related. Having the above in mind, I think this book can guide, inspire, motivate, save time and money to the beginner watercolorist. Also, can serve to an intermediate who wants to go into landscape painting, Definitely a recommendation.

The book is an excellent starting point to learn watercolor painting. Unfortunately it arrived damaged it had either been dropped prior to shipping or the single piece of paper that was supposed to stop the book moving in the shipping box was insufficient. Luckily the book was for me and not a gift so I decided to accept a damaged corner.
