Great keyboard...I've always wanted a backlit keyboard
Product arrived well packaged and in 2 days from placing my order. I’ve had this keyboard for a couple weeks now and I must say I like it very much. I’ve always wanted a backlit keyboard but never got around to getting one until now. Very easy to setup, just plug the braided cord that came with it into your computer. A card was enclosed with the keyboard that shows you how to change the colors/breathing. You can have one color or a rainbow of colors, or even dim all the lights completely, lots of options to choose from. A dimmer button is located at the top/center of the keyboard to adjust the brightness of the lights. Keys are a matte finish and easy to press and it also receives well. I am not a gamer but my son is, and he gives it a thumbs up! All in all, a quality gaming keyboard at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend.

Good purchase.
I work at a 911 center so this keyboard is used constantly. I've gotten tons of compliments and even offers to trade. The keys are smooth and since they are etched on they do not fade. (Common problem with keyboards there) the toggles are easy to switch around the lights and it's not complicated. The cord is almost a braided type so it doesn't easily break apart like some rubber types. I wrap my cord around the keyboard twice a day and I've had this keyboard for almost 6 months now. The cord is not showing and wear or damage from pressure of pulling it around. Where it enters the keyboard it still looks and feels new. You would never know I choke my keyboard every day with it. Everything is placed perfectly and just had to adjust to the Enter key being a different shape than a rectangle. After an hour I didn't even notice anymore. It was like I had been typing on it for ages, even after having come from an ergonomic keyboard. I don't find myself having any worst or joint problems and I've been doing this job for 7 years. I didn't find any purpose in keeping with the ergonomic style.The lights are bright and even in a lit room it shows well if you sit close to it. The farther you move away not so much. At night though it's the life of the party. We've joked about raves and light shows with this thing.Every day I figure out my mood and cycle through the colors, sometimes several times, and land on the one I want. It's simple and quick to change colors. The variations on this are insane. The picture with the functions and descriptions helped me quite a bit in remembering buttons easier but it's not complicated anyways.The keys don't clack. They aren't silent like the seller posts (4 stars) but they aren't loud either. Definitely not a true mechanical keyboard. It gets annoying in my center when we have loud typers. This is about average to just above average in silence. You can hear it, but it's not obnoxious.It's been fun and a good conversation starter at my job. (We have new people all the time.) I hate to give it 4 stars because it ought to be 5, however, I'm big on honesty and advertising it as silent is a bit much. Even adjusting the fact that there will never be a silent keyboard because your literally banging your fingers on an object. Even on screens you make noise, but this is louder than that. Not in very bad way though. I wouldn't let the sound sway you away if you're realistic about keyboard noise. It does a good job handling all the typing. It feels good under your fingers too. The keys don't wobble or move when using them. It's a smooth experience.I'd buy it again if I had to go back.

Great keyboard... but.
Okay, so I bought this keyboard on May 2, 2016. Here I am three years later, and it still works perfectly, and I have no regrets about buying it. I would honestly buy it again, if I really had to...But luckily, I do not. At the time of my purchase, this simple, basic keyboard was $30 for one in "brand new" condition. But now, at the time of this writing three years later, the price has suddenly jumped up to $200.This keyboard is just about as basic as "gaming" keyboards come. Whenever people were building desktops, I would suggest this keyboard to them first, since the price was excellent and reasonable for what the keyboard offered as features. I have no idea what caused such a wild jump in the price, but as long as this is what they are doing with it, I wholeheartedly suggest looking for another keyboard that'll have the same exact features as this one, but without the ridiculous price spike for basic features.

Saturn = Awesome
I considered many keyboards before making this purchase, and all the research I have to say paid off. The packaging is extremely simple, which I prefer because I'd rather the manufacturer put money in the product instead of something that will be thrown away 20 minutes later. I absolutely love the braided cable at this price point, along with the abundant color features. The keyboard is also waterproof just as advertised *yes I poured water into it and the simplicity yet beauty makes this a great keyboard for the price. The switches are softer than keyboards I've experienced in the past. But personally I like the feel. The keys have this matte texture and feels very nice. Also I appreciate that as opposed to the older version the function key and Windows key have been switched and more light features have been added. The only cons I can think of is the fact that the wristrest is a tad small for my taste and the light adjustment knob does not also change color. But in complete honesty these things pale in comparison to the pros. Would definitely recommend. Awesome bang for your buck.

I was NOT disappointed at all! Great keyboard! UPDATED
Item was received well-packaged and quickly. It is a great keyboard! The keys are nice and quiet, and I can only hear a slight tap as I hit each one. They click smoothly and always make contact, so there are no skipped letters. The key repeat is good and I used this to play an online MMORPG with no issues. A colorful, folded card was included in the box, and it explained how to set the breathing/marquee effect of the LED lights. The effect can be slowed down or sped up and you can change which colors cycle. I love that the keys are back-lit, as I like to use the computer in low-light at night. I have color change LEDs in my mouse and on my motherboard, so this keyboard matches perfectly with my lighting scheme.All in all, both my husband and I love this keyboard. When my son gets his computer setup, I will buy one for him. I know he will love it!EDIT/UPDATE: We have had this keyboard for over a year now. It still works wonderfully. I managed to spill about 16 ounces of soft drink into it last week, and it still worked, but the keys were too sticky. I took it apart, cleaned it up, and it works like a charm again. I can't say enough good about this keyboard!

An awesome keyboard!
The 'Saturn' keyboard from UtechSmart really is a great keyboard. The lights behind the keyboard look amazing especially in the dark. The 'breathing effect' between colours can be turned off, slowed down or sped up. Or, you can have the keyboard on just one colour or have all of the colours at once spread across the keyboard like a rainbow! The UK layout is an added bonus as a lot of keyboards sold on Amazon have a US layout. A great keyboard! I use it with my new Gaming PC and it works faultlessly. I've paired it with the 'Sumvision Kata Gaming Mouse'. Together, they look fantastic and both work great! (see picture)

Great lights, Responsive keys, Useless instruction manual
This keyboard just arrived today and on removal from the box it felt lightweight and I liked the look and shape. It feels sturdy in use, the keys are responsive and are reasonably quiet (unlike the mechanical keyboard I just returned) and it is comfortable to use.As soon as you plug the keyboard in it starts flashing and it takes a while to work out how to stop it - you need to press FN + the lightbulb key and it will go to breathing mode (much calmer), or press again to switch the lights off completely - pressing a third time goes back to flashing mode. Unfortunately every time the keyboard loses power from unplugging it or switching the pc off, it reverts to flashing mode no matter what mode it was in before.Breathing and static (constant on) mode look really effective and it’s great that you can adjust the brightness really easily using the dimmer knob. There are a lot of different lighting options, some of which are outlined in the little manual though not all. They are accessed by pressing FN and either F9 F10 or F11 followed by the lightbulb key (next to the FN key). Strangely though, static mode is not mentioned in the manual, but is available and can be accessed as described below:If you press FN + F10 when you have just plugged the keyboard in and it's in flashing mode it will activate static (constant on) mode. Also, if you are already using a different mode just press FN + lightbulb to turn the lights off then back on, then press FN + F10 and it will switch the lights to single colour static light mode. For static multicolour lights, after the previous steps you then press FN + F11. In single or multicolour, you can then press the lightbulb key to scroll through all the colour options.The manual really doesn’t tell you much and makes no reference at all to the 8 top row keys to the left and right of the dimmer switch. I found the function of these by trial & error, apart from the sunrise button which does not appear to do anything. It is next to the sleep key so I thought it would wake the pc back up but it didn’t work on my pc so I’m not sure if it’s meant to.To show all the functions I’ve uploaded a diagram I found online - I edited it to add some functions which were not detailed and amended others which seem to have changed since the diagram was produced. The Utechsmart website has no downloadable manual, no additional details and no way of contacting them unless you have a faulty product you want to return - this is very disappointing.These functions were a bit different than I expected:FN + Q is listed in the manual as Adjust Speed Input but when I pressed them I got a “ting” error sound. It is not explained in the manual so I don't know what this does or how to use it.F11 key pressed on its’ own will sometimes lock the keyboard (but not always, not sure why) and it does not unlock it on pressing it again - I had to unplug my keyboard to unlock it ## (NB If you want to lock the keyboard use FN + F12, then again to unlock - this works)Overall, at this price point I’m happy with the keyboard, the lights are really eye-catching and the responsive quiet(ish) keys are great. A proper manual would improve things considerably though! Just on ordinary A4 paper to keep costs down rather than an expensive glossy booklet. There are probably just as many functions missed out of the manual than there are included - half the manual is just listing different colours. There's alot more than just colour functions so please UtechSmart get together a decent manual.

4 years later, all keys and LEDs working. Starting to squeak
After 4 years of (mostly gaming) use, this keyboard is still going strong. I did replace the WASD key-caps with the arrow keys (which also have WASD printed on them) as the paint wore out... and now the second set is starting to show it's wear.The spacebar is starting to squeak, but everything still works. The full colour suite of the LEDs are still functioning.

Can't get into bios
The keyboard works well when the PC is turned on, color adjustment is decent, you can even get orange backlight if you play a bit with knob and color switch. Never tried spilling things on it yet. The problem i have with this keyboard is: if i want to enter bios, it's impossible. Seems like the item isn't able to input anything when you have to 'click to get to bios'. That's why i have old keyboard under my bed... Inconvenient but that keyboard was very cheap as for how great it looks. Never had more expensive keyboard so i compare it only to budget ones. It's first one ive ever had to have problem with getting to bios.
