Great quality, not as warm as expected
These are decent enough gloves. I would go with 3.75 stars if I could use a partial star rating.WarmthI am unsure about other comments stating that these were "too warm." That was no my experience at all. For my most recent elk hunt I was in temps ranging from windy and 25 degrees to calm winds and 40 degrees. I was left consistently desiring a little more warmth than these gloves offered. Wind may have played a part, but putting these up to your mouth and trying to blow air through them reveals not much, if any, give. I don't think wind was much a factor.Fit/UseI think some other reviewers noted that the sizing is on the large side. I would agree. I ordered a medium and would have been curious yo feel how the small fit. The gloves are not bulky. With a glove on I could comfortably and safely operate the trigger on my Remington 700 30-06. The extended elastic cuff is a great feature to the gloves. The fact that the gloves have to be taken off to use a smart phone is annoying. Other reviews and the description is clear about this. Still, annoying.QualityNo quality issues came up after an extended hunt in the back country. The palms are leather clad, with the cladding going up the index finger. After pulling on trees, brush and clearing away brush on the ground there was no noticeable deterioration of the palm material or stitching. The gloves actually still look quite new, which is surprising. I have not had a chance to test the waterproof feature.Overall, I'm happy with this purchase. I'll likely would not take this on a later season/winter hunt. I can't imagine them providing the warmth I'd want. For early to mid season hunts, these are great.

Warm, dry, and soft!
I own a swimming pool cleaning company and in Texas, pools never close for the winter, so working in cold conditions is expected from my customers. I purchased a pair of these gloves with no preconceived expectations that they would work. No disrespect to the prior reviewers, but products like this must be tested by the user in the environment for which they were purchased. In this case, submersing my hands in water below 50° In addition, these gloves had to protect my hands from handling cold, metal cleaning equipment in 25-40 degree temperatures. So far, so good!First, the gloves gave me above average dexterity. They are quite soft and allow me to push buttons on control panels with ease.Secondly, the INTERIOR of the gloves stay nice and dry, even when submersing my hands into water up to (but not including) the cuff. I don't believe that the cuff around your wrist will keep water out. It's made of a sweater like material. The EXTERIOR of the gloves are not waterproof. They get soaked. But there is a barrier layer between the exterior material and the interior to keep your hands nice and dry.Lastly, they have a generous amount of 3M Thinsulate in each glove to keep your hands warm. One thing I noticed was that if you put cold hands in these gloves, it takes a while for the interior of the gloves to warm up. So put 'em on when your hands are warm and your good to go.These gloves are labeled "fishing gloves" on the packaging, but they would be great for snow skiing, ice fishing, etc. Or just pool cleaning during the winter.

My favorite glove
I like the form fitting and comfortable contour of the Glacier Glove. There are no extra seams or fabric to catch in the trigger guard. The warmth and water resistance make it a great hunting glove or just a great cold weather glove when working outside.

Disappointed but still content
I live in New York where the cold weather is unpredictable and malice. I'm tired of buying cheap useless gloves that doesn't do their job of keeping your hands warm.I ride my bike so it's important for me to get a good quality gloves. These gloves are waterproof, I put them under running water and my hands stayed dried. The insulation is very nice, wearing them 5 - 10 minutes before braving the cold keeps your hands toasty. It is breathable, my hands weren't sweating outside. The reason it doesn't get a 5 star from me is because it doesn't keep you warm outside after a while, usually after 15 minutes. My hands became cold almost immediately during cold windy moments.I feel 4 stars is fair for what works and the price. I recommend this for those who don't live in cold windy environment or those who would be outside for a short period.

Even wet your hands are dry and warm.
I put my hands in water up to my wrist let the gloves get wet and heavy made a fist squished my hands together and still the inside of the gloves were dry. I let the gloves sit in water and then put my hands into the gloves after about an hour and the inside was still dry. Even with the gloves wet while out ice fishing my hands were still dry and warm. I bought a pair for both my boys who duck hunt and ice fish with me.

Waterproof, but not as warm as "alaskan"rating
This glove feels durable and keeps the fingers dry submerged in water. But insulation is sub par and calling it "Alaska" is quite misleading. I would say not bad for 20-30°F if your working and moving around. Not good for ice fishing or hunting when you could be sitting still or riding ATv for a period of time.

Hands stay dry
I needed gloves that would keep my hands dry while working in wet conditions. Not once did my hands get wet (even while washing my car). The gloves keeps my hands warm in temps above 32 degrees F. They don’t provide the warmth in extreme cold.

Got these for a hiking trip in Iceland in June ...
Got these for a hiking trip in Iceland in June. Temps 2-10C and raining. Pros: Seem to be waterproof & reasonably warm. Cons: Really hard to get them on and off once the lining gets a bit of moisture in them (from wet hands or sweat).
