Bag XL Frost Protection Plant Cover-Green

We are using this plant cover right now in very cold weather conditions, with winds. So far it's been good except now it's starting to rip where one of the main limbs is poking through from a hole that was created. This is a new tree so the limbs are still young and flexible, so it should rip already.

Arrived in time to protect from freeze the next day. We had these before and had been pleased. However, we did have to order new ones this year because the ones from two years ago disinigrated. We would hope these last longer. They look much nicer than sheets!

Covered my two small Palm Trees and I still think they're both dead. Not sure these things work as well as I had hoped.

- These large covers allowed me to cover my frost-sensitive plants without having to move them to shelter.- Being able to cover them in place save me a lot of time and energy.

It serves it's purpose

I live in CA and bought 5 of these to cover my various citrus trees during our cold winter months. (pink grapefruit, satsuma, gold nugget, clementine, mexican lime) They worked just fine and all trees are alive and thriving. I will be reusing them again this year. Some of the colder nights I would also run the water to help keep temps up. These bags alone are probably good for 5-10 degrees of protection, anything beyond that is going to need sprinklers and/or a heat source. I will be buying more for some newly planted trees (persian lime, finger lime).

I was very pleased when the covers arrived because they were the perfect size for my shrubs and the drawstring was a nice feature. In fact the plants on the picture looked exactly like what I was protecting! The fabric was very thin, which concerned me. The temperature dropped to around 32 degrees on a couple nights. It appears that two out of the three plants (all the same type)didn't make it. They were very hardy before the frost.

This worked great for my really large sago palm. I am in California and the mornings and some evenings where I live can get 27+ and burns all the palm leaves right off. The leaves never come back after that unless I cut them off and the plant has to regrow. So this fits my large Sago palms perfectly and protects it from the frost. I just leave it on all the winter because it is still getting light. And so far this has withstood the wind in my area as well since it has a gathered bottom with a pull. Great cover! Love it and will get more for other plants.
