Great product and amazing service

I bought this book because I thought the author is one of the masters of his field (graphic design), and I've found some of his designs to be fresh and impressive after so many decades.Unfortunately, the book is nothing of that sort. It's written in an extremely rigid tone that makes it hard to understand the point being made. The ideas in the book aren't clearly organised or communicated. I have a feeling an excellent blog post would teach me more about graphic design than this dreary tome.It's also bilingual, in English and German, with the result that almost half the space in the book is wasted.

I took a 3 year course in Graphic Design way back when and this is the course or knowledge I find that was missing from the curriculum.If you're a Graphic Designer no matter what level you're at. This is a must have book in your library. A complete must for layout designers. Yes, you can read the book cover -to-cover but ideally it's just a great a reference book to get the inspiration, that quick helpful tip, and the do's and don't's of improving your layout skills.

Its important to say how much this book is valuable to give you the introduction to composition. This book focus itself into press work, not the digital world; but can be useful either ways.

This book is written so well. Not only is it informative but also stylish.I would recommend it to anyone that does any sort of creative work.
