Great quality, highly recommended! Still running after 4 yrs
Bought it almost 4 years ago and it is still running strong. We use it with a 4G SIM card to give the whole house a WIFI. It is a bit pricey compared to some other Chinese brands but given the longevity of the product, I think it is worth. Wish it used USB-C for the power source, so I can use with a power brick when no electric power is there. But otherwise, no complaints. We place it in different parts of the house in case we need better coverage. Also the web administration is easy and helpful.

No Jio Band 5 detection or reception.
Overall it's a very good router does exactly what it is meant to do. Easy sim enter and start using. Problem is it doesnt detect Jio 4g Band 5. For those who dont know Jio uses 3 bands. Band 5 slowest and best reception deep inside the house Band 3 faster and good reception balanced out Band 40 fastest and lowest range and stability This router is only detecting band 3 and 40 which is ironic because the tower is a little far off and in my phone where it is 4g+, the 4g+ carrier aggregation is always shared between band 3 and 5 whereas 40 is never detected because its too poor and requires one to be very close to the tower. Band 5 is literally the most used by phones and any Jio 4g device for network reception. So its a big bummer that this router cannot detect that.

Great 4g router. Ideal for home and small office
My jio dongle had gone faulty and was looking for some sturdy router which can be used throughout day without any glitches. Came across this model and I have to say that it is working much better with JIO sim than its original dongle. Wifi range is ok and installation is pretty easy. Overall, if you are looking for router with 3g/4g sim slot for home, go for it. IMP NOTE:- Many people have wrote that it's not supporting JIO. If you are going to use JIO sim, please buy TP-Link TL-MR6400 model ONLY. Most of the people are buying TP-link MR200 model which support all 4g sims except JIO and posting that JIO doesn't work. Be mindful while selecting TP-Link Model.

Disconnects every few minutes, Useless
I am a firmware engineer for last 25 years. I bought this product to work from home, during my visit to India. Got excited initially, but then the device keeps disconnecting the internet, wifi stays though. Internet speed was slow (3-5Mbps) compared to my Huawei P30 phone which was giving 30-40Mbps, and my iPhone 11 giving 30Mbps, on the same SIM. So I manually changed the LTE band (great!) and got 30Mbps on this router device. I live in the city where the signal strength is 100%, hence the higher Mbps numbers. But the trouble is that it keeps disconnecting the internet for several minutes. Tried VI and Jio SIMs and both work very well with cell phone tethering. Manually tried changing DNS servers to Google, Open DNS, Cloudflaire etc, but no luck. Really getting embarrassed on conference calls and presentations, when the voice start jittering and connections dropping out. If you are a person who buys this for your work or watching a Prime movie, do not buy this. You will be sad and spending your valuable time figuring out workarounds and searching all over for solutions. I bought this device before starting from USA because the shipping time showed a week. But they delivered a few days before so my return window was only a few days. I cannot return this device, Amazon customer service says "sorry sir" (we got your money, go away), the seller doesn't help either. I have no other option but to give a 1 star review to show my frustration. BTW, this product is hardware version 5.2, it is new and there is no firmware update available. If you happen to buy 6 months ago, it was an older version of hardware where you could use DD-WRT or other Beta firmware as a workaround. The reason I am telling this is that the 5 star reviews you are reading here are for older hardware. The new 5.2 version hardware is a brick.

A Reliable Companion for My Mobile Internet
I've been using the TP-Link TL-MR6400 for a few months now, and it's been a great addition to my mobile internet setup. It's small and easy to carry around, so I can take it with me wherever I go. Pros: Affordable: The TL-MR6400 is competitively priced, making it a great option for those on a budget. Easy Setup: The setup process is straightforward, even for those who aren't tech-savvy. Stable Connection: The router provides a reliable and consistent connection, even in areas with weak 4G coverage. Multiple Connections: It can handle multiple devices simultaneously, making it ideal for households or small offices. Compact Design: The compact size makes it easy to take with you on the go. Cons: Single-band Wi-Fi: While it offers a decent range, the single-band Wi-Fi can become congested in crowded areas. Limited Features: Compared to more advanced routers, the TL-MR6400 lacks some features, such as parental controls or guest network capabilities. Overall, I'm very happy with the TL-MR6400 and would recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and affordable 4G LTE router.

Its only supporting Airtel sim
Yes, it's a good 3g/4g LTE modem works in the poor network area, It supports an external antenna. But I am not sure I tested I got it worked on only Airtel sim. I tested it with Jio, Idea & BSNL but for those, I didn't get a network & all 4 networks are available outside in mobile where I placed external antenna. I brought another router "D-Link DWR-920V Wireless N300 4G LTE Router", I tested it on airtel, Jio, Idea, it's working for these Sim,& it also has the feature to connect landline phones which are used in BSNL in the early back days. Although Tp-link has a lot of features that exist in the router like access control, QoS & many more.

Worked as expected. Significantly cheaper than 5G routers and provides enough bandwidth for video conferences, streaming and similar bandwidth needs. Preformance will obviously depend on reception in your area.
