Amazing Gen 2+ Optic, Best Bang For Your Buck!
Absolutely outstanding quality picture and construction. I was recommended the D-300 as the best multipurpose Gen 2 NVD for playing airsoft, and boy am I glad I listened to that recommendation. The nice thing about it, is that it will fit on a rifle, or your helmet, and allows you to use one eye to see night vision and retain your depth perception, unlike goggle type NVDs. This is the best bang for your buck you will ever get when it comes to Gen 2 monoculars. I was not disappointed with this purchase, even though I normally would have saved the money for a PVS-14, this will suffice more than enough for my needs. Much better than a Gen 1 since you can actually see well under a decently lit night sky. The built in IR light is good for closer ranges, but if you want a longer range on it, I'd suggest the Armasight XLR-IR850 infrared flashlight as a good sidekick for much longer distance spotting.I would post my resolution for my device, but this is the standard version, and does not come with a spec sheet stating it's resolution. I have maybe 2 or 3 very small imperfections on mine, one is near the center a little, but not on the center. These dots do not affect the quality of the image, and every tube is different. You may get no imperfections at all, but if you want a handpicked quality tube with a spec sheet, then I would shell out the money for the Gen 2+ HP version of this monocular. I don't think it's worth it unless you're a real NV enthusiast, but this standard version is more than good enough for the price. Highly recommended!
