A Different Usage
I am not a fisherman but I am undergoing physical therapy. I needed a long bar that was a 3 lb weight. I could not order regular PT equipment without a license. Weird, but true. But this item serves the purposes well.

Wire ties broke off within a month of use
It's long for a typical crab pot, but the bigger problem is that the wires on one end broke off after about 8 uses. I fastened it down with a twist-tie but there is no hole to replace the wires with. Otherwise- I like it okay. The length limits where you can put it in the trap (I went with diagonally in a square trap).
