Great line, no twist- never going back to smaller Wal-Mart spools
I was worried after reading the 1-star review of this line mentioning bad twist issues right on starting to spool it, but being one of the more positively rated and reasonably priced 8lb fluoros on amazon I went with it anyway and didn't have that one reviewer's issues.1000yd spools are new to me, having always filled up line manually from the individual 200-250 yd packs of Berkley Vanish fluoro sold in stores. I figured a 1000yd spool would be like buying in bulk and about saving money, but ironically this $72 1000yd spool of Invizx is about twice the price per yard vs the 250 yd spools at Walmart. But it's actually a big improvement in quality, and some cost saving by not having to waste the last 25-50 yards of smaller spools. You can see the quality difference looking at a new filled spool of it...every strand of the line is tightly stacked perfectly against the next strand end to end, no overlapping or gaps. A negative review for another 1000yd fluoro line- Seaguar Red Label- talked about the "Level Wind Technology" used to fill the spools and how it's not done the same anymore, etc. Not sure if these Invizx spools were done using that technology but it seems very precisely and safely stored and I had no twist problems.About twist...When I started filling from my new spool, reeling it on I had the spool with the Seaguar logo face up and immediately got a bunch of line twist, maybe what the 1-star review was talking about. I flipped the spool logo-down and the problem pretty quickly went away, with no twist the rest of the way on. This always happened with smaller spools too, one side up gives more twist problems and you had to flip it to find which was better, but with this there was much more difference between which way the spool faced. One side up was disaster and the other was perfect. If this isn't what the other reviewer was doing wrong then maybe he got a bad batch. The line itself is great and I can see now why getting 1000yd of Invizx vs 250 yd of Vanish is worth more than the small amount of cost savings, it's just better. Once on the rod/reel the difference is clear, how the line hands down relaxed and smooth with no coils or twist whatsoever. It does seem to cast a easier and run deeper than the other small packs of fluoro. The 8lb Seaguar fluorocarbon is also .009" diameter, slightly smaller than the 8lb Berkley Vanish fluoro .010." Otherwise the sensitivity and stretch seems about the same as other brands. The strength I am very happy with after using the first batch for 3-4 long days with lots of casting and trolling hardbaits. All it's had was some usual minor twist and wear-and-tear from certain lures or rod/reels. It was tested pretty hard when I was freeing up stuck lures a few times. Still, on the last day when twist and fraying was really showing, I landed and a 29" lake trout and a 20" smallmouth, getting them from water and into canoe myself by hand. Most line breaks are by the boat and because of bad knots or damage to the last 8-10 feet of line to the lure. If you tie and wet your knots right and monitor/replace the last few feet of your line regularly, and are more sensible than me and actually use a net, line breaking is not really an issue.I can't say how this line performs vs other brands/types of the 1000yd fluoro spools but for me it's definitely a higher quality and better stored line vs the stuff in smaller spools from stores. Only criticism I have is I can't 1000yd spools of this in 10lb or 2-4 lb tests.

My favorite line.
Be my go to favorite fishing line for almost 10 years now. My brother is a better fisherman than I am and there are a couple of people that I am sure are a better fisherman than me that I go with in a lot of situations even though I’m not a better fisherman I feel like I’m catching them because my line is more invisible and they’re still using monofilament and I’ve moved to an invisible floor carbon. I use braid to floor carbon leaders and this stuff is tough and invisible when fish can see the other folks that I’m fishing with line I’m getting bit when they’re not and I’m pretty sure this fishing line is the reason we can always be using the same lures and I’m still getting bit more than the other guys using mono
