Graco SnugRide Click Connect 40 Infant Car Seat, Fern

12 months of daily use and I'm writing a review- This is the best carseat on the market in my opinion. In an infant car seat the side head support is unmatched! (The SnugRide CC 35 LX has it as well) There's a slider in the back where you can slide the head support up as your child grows. The straps adjust using the red button at the front of seat. My parents think this is the best invention ever. I've seen people complain that the straps are too tight, and I believe they're not adjusting when they put their baby in the seat. We losen all the way when we take the baby out and tighten them back up when we put them in it. Super easy. We love this thing. Yes it's heavy, because it's built for safety and not your comfort. I purchased a click connect stroller and simply click the carseat into that if I need to carry it somewhere further than a few steps. Otherwise it's left in the car. We'll be using this carseat until baby maxes the weight out. We have 18 more pounds to go before we're close to the limit so I see us using this for another year and hopefully starting the next baby in it too.

I absolutely love my car seat. I used it for 22 months for my baby before he outgrew it and I had to upgrade to the next size up for rear facing car seats. This car seat is so nice looking and so convenient to install and to put baby in and out of. The easy latch system to connect it to the car using the latch system if ur car offers it is super easy to securely install it and I know the car seat is safe and secure and I can get a really nice tight install with the latches and belt is easy to tighten unlike some seats that can cause a struggle to tighten the seat down. The seat is big and comfortable for my son and the green and black is nice looking. It was easy to strap my son in and tighten the straps. Also super easy to adjust the seat as he grew. I bought an extra base to keep in my other vehicle so it was super easy to load him into either vehicle I used. It was one of the best purchases I have ever made. I’m bummed he outgrew it and don’t need it anymore. It is a very nice car seat and definitely worth the money.

I thought this was a good carseat until the first time my son got sick in it and I tried to clean it. There is no way to fully take the harness straps off which means there is no way to actually get it completely clean. Running a wash cloth over the straps doesn't do any good. We were rushing him to the hospital which means the carseat had to sit that way all day in the hot parking lot and no matter how we try, we can't get the straps clean with a wash cloth and soap. The booklet says submerging in water can damage the straps but even being able take them off would help.

UPDATE: no child will make it to 40 pounds in this seat because of the height restrictions--but in all honesty I got great use out of it. I switched to a convertible car seat when my child was 18 months and 28 pounds--because he was right at the height limit (and in the 80th percentile for height/weight).Love, love, love! I purchased it for my infant son, knowing he would have room to grow. So far it has traveled cross country on an airplane and did great--so nice that it can be installed without a base should you desire. The canopy could afford to be a little longer--I purchased the Manito Sun Shade from Amazon which provides excellent sun coverage and attaches with ease.My son falls asleep almost every time we place him inside--nicely padded. The click connect system is nice--easily audible click to know that it has installed correctly and works great with the Graco stroller.

When my oldest was born we had a car seat expert visit us in the hospital room & when she saw our car seat she said "oh, you got the good one." Love the head support for my babies. The extra padding was nice because I read not to use anything that doesn't come with the car seat because it can compromise the safety of the car seat in an accident. The moveable base meant we were able to use it from birth to 24 months. My only complaint is my daughter got sweaty easily in the summer.

The quality of this car seat exceeded my expectations. The best quality graco car seat I have ever purchased. The base is heavy but that is to be expected when it is made for long term use. The insert in the carrier is nice and made well. I love this car seat. The base being as long as it is prob would not fit in a compact vehicle. I have a Dodge Durango and it works great for me. I feel like the baby is very safe and comfortable. I would buy it again. I purchased an open box so I got a great deal and it was like new on arrival.

I'm not one to write reviews but this car seat is amazing. We decided to go with this kind of infant car seat for our 2nd baby, had originally purchased a click connect 35 which gives 0 head support so after some more research decided to give this one a try. We love the click connect option that allows easy in and out of the car and onto the stroller which both seats so but this one just gives shading full body and head support for your precious cargo. Our little girl is 12 weeks now and is steadily growing but adjusting the harness has been a breeze and her head doesn't flop from side to side or droop and she seems pretty comfy in it. Best purchase along with the Graco room for 2 stroller!!! Oh but don't expect to be carrying it long distances, it dies get heavy with baby in it but it's perfect for not waking her in ad out of the car.

Our baby was 8lbs 7oz and fits in this thing very comfortably. I swear she sleeps as good in this as she does in mama's arms, even outside of the car. I've seen some of my friends car seats that don't look nearly as supportive or comfortable for the baby's head. It is a little heavy, but I knew that going into it since it claims to be able to carry a 40lb child. Overall I highly recommend, especially in combination with any of the Graco quick connect strollers.
