Vitamin D 5000iu, 100 Count

During the COVID-19 (and moving forward) my Dr. strongly recommended that I take double of what dosage was on the bottle (that was my Dr’s advice for me, so I am not suggesting it for you), but with compromised health I was happy to take something great that helps build immunity!

I needed a high dosage of Vitamin D to be used with Interferon Gamma. This product worked fine to keep up inmune system to face a Toxoplasmosis treatment. I'll be asking for another, soon!

Just everything about this product improved my daily supplement intake

Positive: SMALL: these are as small, if not smaller, than the 1000 iu soft gels that I have been taking. Capsule form: next best to softgel, both of which follow liquid. Seal: you can actually OPEN the seal without that paper layer remaining. In fact, it is a “foil” seal and it has a plastic tab (not a fan of the plastic part that isn’t recyclable,) which you use to pull the foil seal away and it just “slips” right off. I like how easy it is to open and that you don’t have to fight with those “starter” tabs like on other bottles. + I have not experienced any negative/adverse side effects. Granted, I have taken 5000 ius before, but am now taking 3000 ius, due to the summer months/more daylight. + (personal opinion): Decent price for quantity of capsules (considering iu level.) + Appreciate the option for Subscribe & Save. Granted, in the winter/lesser sun months, I take 5000 ius and have no issues… I would suggest being very aware of any changes if you are jumping from a 1000 iu intake to a 5000 iu intake. +/- With so few capsules, I wonder if there was a reason to make such a “big” bottle compared to the quantity, seeing as they are so small comparatively… Negative: (I cannot think of any negative aspect about the product itself.)

This Metatrition Vitamin D 5000 iu is, I have found, a very easy way to get quality vitamin D3. The tiny capsules are very easy to swallow. Why do I take vitamin D3? It is an anti-carcinogenic vitamin and linked to improved immunity against disease. It also makes me feel better overall. My wife swears by vitamin D3 and our doctor says it's important for her to take it. Our doctor says that people over 50 are often deficient in vitamin D3 since our skin doesn't make vitamin D from the sun as well as it did when we were younger. If you are over 50 this easy to swallow product is a must. If you aren't over 50 and just want to make sure you have adequate vitamin D3 in your diet, this is a great way to go.

A standard Vitamin D option that is reasonably priced. However, with increasing options for a standard vitamin other options may serve equally well at a slightly better cost.
