GREAT AMAZON BUY, FAST SHIP ON AUTHENTIC OTTERBOX DEFENDER REALTREE CAMO PINK AP CASE FOR IPHONE 5!
PROS: FAST secure shipping by Amazon in retail factory packaging. Arrived in just a couple of days with regular shipping chosen. I've had other OtterBox phone cases and have always been satisfied with the excellent quality of protection they give my phones. I particularly like the Defender series, despite its bulk. For my white iPhone5, I love the white-pink-and-gunmetal grey REALTREE CAMO PINK AP design on this Otterbox! Its' design is primarily popular pastel pink in color, but is not GIRLY for those of us over a "certain age" and is not a hellish HOT PINK. Despite being called "CAMO," this design is an elegant, almost Asian floral pattern. Chic, yet rugged!I've seen this OtterBox Defender REALTREE CAMO PINK AP case for iPhone 5 on several other sites for nearly $100, so Amazon provided a SUPER BARGAIN!!For online-buying skeptics (like me), the case is a "real" OtterBox Defender, not one of the ubiquitous knock-offs that are offered on a number of sites. Very secure, rugged case; however, if you are looking for a slim, lightweight case, you might consider one from a different OtterBox line. For me, the Defenders work well. I tend to drop my phones once in awhile. With the Defender case, I've had no problems resulting from my clumsiness. I dropped my phone into the commode less than a day after putting it in this new case: Despite being submerged for 30 seconds or so AND having no screen protector, there was NO water damage to my phone. Sound clarity is excellent -- much better than the newer OtterBox waterproof line now available, which sometimes makes it nearly impossible to hear.My OtterBox Defender REALTREE CAMO PINK AP case fits my iPhone 5 like the proverbial glove and was easily and quickly assembled.SUGGESTION FOR BUYERS: When ordering this OtterBox Defender REALTREE CAMO PINK AP case for iPhone 5, also order a pack of screen protectors for the iPhone 5. I believe you can get a five-pack in clear or matte for 99 cents to $1.99. Definitely worth it and a huge savings! Something I forgot to do!CONS: I don't usually wear my phone clipped to my clothing, so the clip isn't really an issue for me. The belt clip works okay on jeans or pants if you don't mind the bulky case showing when your shirt is worn on the outside of your pants. The case is also too large to fit in the rear pockets of my pants and shorts or front pockets of shirts. I'm a fairly small female (size 4-6), but if you're a male or larger woman, your rear pockets MAY fit this OtterBox Defender case.I prefer to toss my phone in my bag or front zip pocket of a backpack. It's too large for the slide-in cell phone pockets on the outsides of all of my handbags; however, the larger, colorful design of this REALTREE PINK AP case makes it easy to quickly spot, even in the bottom of a dark, deep handbag. The only frustration I've found with this case is the attached rubber snap cover for the power cord port, located on the case bottom: I have to charge my iPhone at least a couple of times a day, and it takes both hands to raise the small square rubber flap and plug in the zip cord. This causes a lot of movement to the rubber port cover. I hope it stands the test of time! I'm ordering another just like this one, not because I fear it won't last, but because I REALLY love the REALTREE CAMO PINK AP design and know it will be phased out at some point. When that happens, I'll have a new one!For anyone who has another way of charging your iPhone 5, or has an iPhone 5 with a battery that doesn't run down as quickly as mine, the rubber port for the zip charger should not be an issue.Would definitely buy another and recommend this OtterBox Defender REALTREE CAMO PINK AP and similar CAMO designs to anyone needing a solid rugged protective case with a distinctive design at a SUPER PRICE!!The OtterBox Defender BLAZED MAX HD ORANGE CAMO cases for iPhone 5 in a striking camouflage pattern of greens/browns with orange neon highlighting would make EXCELLENT ~~FATHER'S DAY GIFTS~~ for dads who are outdoorsmen or just need a great. looking rugged case!NOTE BEFORE YOU ORDER: The OtterBox Defender REALTREE CAMO PINK AP case reviewed here fits the IPHONE 5 only -- not another model of iPhone! So, if you are looking for a case for an iPhone 5C/S, search for that phone model. I've read reviews where the reviewer complained that this case did not fit their iPhone 5C/S. Read the description carefully before you buy and you shouldn't have that problem here on Amazon.

Excellent protection; attractive design
One thing I knew for certain when I got an iPhone was that I wanted to protect it from damage. I've had family and friends who broke their screens and had to replace the whole phone as a result. And since my particular plan doesn't allow for a discounted replacement phone, I thought getting a case that will protect the screen as well as the phone itself would be a good investment. My husband purchased an OtterBox for his iPhone previously, and has had a good experience with it (except for some minor design issues which seem to have been resolved with this current iteration). The case consists of a hard, plastic, phone enclosure that snaps together very securely, a rubber encasing that goes around the plastic casing, and a thin, clear plastic screen protector that is held in place securely under the hard casing. My case also came with a holster that clips onto your belt or pants, which you can snap your phone into if you would like (I don't use it, but my husband does), and instructions.Something I had to accept when buying this case is that it will not have a cute, slim, fit-into-your-jeans-pocket shape that other cases have. (Even the OtterBox Commuter case is slimmer than this one, but with less screen protection.) Going from a slim LG prepaid phone into an iPhone encased in armor is an adjustment, but one I'm glad I made. Within a month or so of acquiring the phone, I stepped into an irrigation water valve on a road near my home while running and fell pretty hard. My phone was with me, and without the OtterBox, my phone would have slid right out of my jacket pocket and shattered on the asphalt. The rubber that encases the hard plastic enclosure is grippy and easy to hold onto, and the phone stays pretty much where it is put as a result. I worry much less about dropping the phone through my butter fingers and about it falling out of something, which brings much peace of mind. (And I know that if I do drop it, it's well protected.) In addition, the hard plastic casing is designed to create a barrier above the sides of and around the screen, so that the only way you could break the screen would be to step directly onto it in shoes with heels while it is lying flat on the floor. I also like the thin, hard, plastic screen protector that goes directly over the screen. It doesn't affect the function of the screen at all and protects it from scratching and dings. The only minor thing I've noticed with all this protection is that when typing letters or symbols right next to the barrier, it is sometimes slightly more difficult to do so, but you get used to it quickly, and any minor inconvenience is worth the protection.Something my husband was disappointed about with his case was that the rubber parts that fit into the various plugs in the phone broke off after a few months. My case doesn't seem to have the issues that his does--it seems more substantial. (He is not sure if the issues are due to less-substantial materials or from snapping his phone in and out of his holster frequently. Either way, it has been troubling to him.) His power button is also really difficult to push; mine is not. It seems like OtterBox really listens to their customers and tries to make certain their products are good.My only minor complaint about my particular model (the pink Realtree case, which I love the look of, by the way) is that the picture on the back of the case with the distinctive design feels it's just a sticker. I find myself wanting to be extra-careful when my hands are sweaty and to make sure my hands are completely dry before picking up my phone because I am worried it will wear off. I don't know if it is really a sticker; that's just what it feels like to me. I find that a little strange, considering it was designed with people who spend time outdoors in mind. Again, it may not be a sticker at all, but I still thought I'd mention it.Overall, I would recommend this type of OtterBox to anyone who wants serious, and not-too-expensive, protection for their iPhone. I love the way it looks and the way it protects, and I am happy I purchased it.

Phone protected from drops and falls
I enjoy this print but most importantly this is a quality phone protector that has saved my phone from toddler and baby drops, falls from my car, and even small amounts of water. I used this case for both my iPhone 5 and my iPhone SE and works perfectly with either. I bought it when priced under $10 so I think this is a super purchase and I'm thoroughly pleased. My personal guide to how I rate:Five Stars = best product I've tried in this field; will enthusiastically recommend to, or buy for, family and friends. Buy this product now!Four Stars = great product I will buy again if/when needed and will recommend if someone asks for my opinion. Yes, buy this product.Three Stars = I like this product but will purchase something else if I can find a better option next time easily enough. Look to see if there is anything better if you have a chance before purchasing this item. Two Stars = item works as intended but will try hard to find a better product in the future. Only buy this product if you can't find anything possibly better. One star = if this item has a free return policy I sent it back and, if it doesn't, depending on the cost of the item and/or the cost of return shipping I may have sent it back. Do not buy this product!

Excellent price and protection. Just one Problem.
I bought the new iPhone SE, after talking to the phone company over phone protection they said most iPhone 5 cases fit true to SE size. I was skeptical and I have a few other cases and a screen protector to prove that the SE and 5 are similar in size but are deigned slightly differently.Apart from all that this Otterbox fit my SE perfectly! Top to bottom, all the little covers for the charger, and the silent slider fit perfectly. I like the white interior, grey exterior and I don't mind the camo appearance.Only problem I find is the plastic screen protector. I have to apply some force when typing in order for my phone to read my motions on the touch screen. I think the screen is just slightly loose, causing a space between screen and protector, it's not a bad thing, it's just annoying.

Great value and really durable
My dad is in a care home and doesn't have full mobility and drops his phone often. We'd had to fix or change his screen several times but not ever since we bought this case. Very rugged and durable. It's a bit thick but that's what makes it so durable.

Great case for the iPhone 5 series and SE
Great case for the iPhone 5 series and SE. You can use the TouchID feature simply by pulling back on the silicone tap that protects the home button. I prefer this first generation version to the second (home button exposed) and the third, current version (home button has a little silicone skin over it) because the hard shell of the case actually protects the lower face of the phone like in the previous iPhone 3 and 4 versions of the Defender. I work constructions and mechanics, so having the maximum protection was important to me, and the newer generation of the Defender case was lacking that lower jaw protection, as well as compromising integrity of the shell by leaving such a slim framing on the bottom that it would definitively not withstand the previous generation design. Only color version that also features a white holster. Even if it's "pink" camo, it wasn't that misplaced for a man due to the pink being rather fade, making it look more like a snow hunting camo pattern. The white plastic shell is also very elegant.

A year later my otterbox looks like new
I bought this a year ago. And let me tell you it STILL looks like the picture! I was a bit weary as I saw that some people had the backs fall off theirs or the rubber coverlets for the power cord and earphones. Mine are still in tact. Ok it looks a LITTLE bit worn but it's not looking too badly at all. My husband got the orange and black and I got the pink camo. Both are just as great and he works outside! The best thing about these otterboxes is both phones have been dropped and nothing. Not a single scratch, mark, nothing. My phone inside looks pristine! I wanted to write this review a year on because you need to buy this.

Great.
Great price as a discontinued item. (14.99 cad)Worked on my SE except for the touch sensor.Well made, seems tough with a built in screen protector. Very happy.Update 2018: Just bought 2 more to use on older 5s’ and they fit fine (no touch sensor unless you cut off the protective cover). Great defender protection my wife has not broken the one on her SE yet....
