So handy I bought a 2nd one.
The case is small and compact, yet holds 40 pans. It holds securely when closed, but I wouldn’t toss it loose in a backpack. It would do best in a pocket or pouch so it doesn’t open and spill paints,The pans are magnetic and can be moved around or removed to make space for a brush, pencil, sponge etc. On the first order, the pans were not attached to the magnetic strips, but they were on this one.

Nice size.
Great item and the size is perfect. I use it to mix my Ken Oliver Colorbursts for water coloring. There's a lot less waste and clean up by using this palette and they're always ready to go. I gave it a four star because there is a small puncture in the lid. I didn't notice it until I added a color reference sheet to the inside of the lid, then painted a few sample squares. Paint seeped out of the small hole onto my desktop. Just be sure to inspect the tin well before you start using it.

Pans fit a bit awkwardly
The plans fit in it a little awkwardly and the cover isn't really something you should use for mixing, but I only plan on storing paints in here not mixing with it, so that's fine. Just a heads up! Otherwise sturdy, pretty, and impressively compact.

Nice graphics on cover
Love the cover. It stays shut but isn't difficult to open when needed. 40 pans are more than enough for what I needed. Magnetics on bottom are a nice touch. Some could be taken out so you could add brushes to make a little travel paint kit.

Great quality and safely portable
Love this! Bought another for my husband. The pans are interchangeable with any other palette case. Magnets came already installed. I take this wherever I want to paint and it's perfect.

Pretty and small!
So pretty, just the right side for travel. FYI, you can replace with full size pans for a 24 pan set, or put in full pans of your most used colors.

Of course you have an constant need to wash this due to paint. Magnets no longer sticks on now.

Acrylic Plein Air Travel Set
I bought this so I can try to put my Pegasus acrylics in them for plein air painting. Product looks great and cute. I might order another to replace my Holbein case.
