The Nature of Home: Creating Timeless Houses

As soon as I received it, I held it in an embrace as if all that it has between the covers would magically transmit into my being. Never heard of him before, much less The Nature of Home book, but I am glad I came across it on here. All this week has been the first thing I pick up in the morning and the last thing I see at night. Such inspiration! Every page, texture, color and design connects with my soul. It’s not hard to transport myself inside the pages and touch the woods, stones and fabrics. A part of me is transformed by the response of my soul to every page of your beautiful creations.

What an amazing book! Not only is it informative for anyone interested in architecture, it also makes for an eye catching addition to my book collection. I’ve already had multiple guests comment on the aesthetic look of it on my coffee table.

I found the architect's style was not to my taste BUT that his text/written ideas were inspiring how to think through design projects. I considered returning the book but have found the text to be a great resource. If you like the style - it is a beautifully done, rich book. I have another book by this publisher (maybe same series? It's called The Art of Outdoor Living and is equally lovely and substantive). Just beware that if the photos in the preview are not so much your style, they are pretty representative of this architect's style.

Jeffrey Dungan is such an incredible architect. The text and photos explain so much of how he incorporates natural elements into his design to make a statement that blends into the landscape. He is major design goals. Great book to read as well as place on a table

If I could build a home it would come straight out of this pages. Beautifully done. High quality
