Just so easy
Been using the Jolly phonics first poster for the first 42 sounds + finger phonics + sing along + workbook. So I must say that the whole phonic range works completely well with my son. This poster follows on from the first poster. In the first poster you learn unique letters for each sounds but not with this poster you learn that several collections of letters make up 9 of the sounds. Like the "ee" sound is also make from the "ea" as in "sea". I have put it up in our living room so my son gets to look at it all the time and when he reads a book he often looks up the sounds from it. I likes to talk abou how the different combinations of letters make the same sound. It really helps when it comes to showing my son how to sound out words.I too am learning about the different sounds. I wish I had this when I was learning to read.I am going to order another poster for my son's bedroom. Finger Phonics: s, a, t, i, p, n (Jolly Phonics)Jolly Songs (Jolly Phonics)Jolly Phonics Workbooks: Books 1-7 Update...My son has just started year 2 at school and they are using this poster in the class. My son loves using this poster as it helps him to remember which letter groups have the same sound. We now have one in his bedroom next to his homework desk. One next to the computer when he does his spelling & now ordering an extra one for the living room for when he does reading there. My son is now very confident with his sounds and this poster has really helped him with this. When he is not sure he just looks up and he or both of us work out which letter grouping it could be for the sound. A great visual for showing alternative spellings for phonics.
Really great visual for kids to clearly see the alternative spellings for digraphs. My daughter loves it and refers to it, if she’s stuck at at sound, when we do her reading.

A must buy for all parents
This poster along with the Jolly Phonic set of 7 books are brilliant! Not only are they fun for your child, the teaching mirrors what is being taught in primary schools (reception - year 2). Really helps your little one get to grips with their spelling and understanding of how words sound.Plus when they forget (as they oftern do), you can refer them to the poster and it will all come flooding back.I would suggest that you buy the CD/Book of phonics (part of this range), as the songs on this CD are taught in reception and if anything, it will put a smile on your face when you see your little one come into their own with actions and sounds, learnt from school. Also great if played in the car.

Excellent!
This is an excellent poster for reception/year 1 children. Very easy to follow. We have it on our wall near the table where my daighter does her reading and it's been a great aid for her reading. Only negative is it has only one triagraph. If it had the other triagraphs as well the poster would have been more complete.
