I’m new to pottery and slowly adding tools to my kit. I like the comfort of the handle— it’s thicker and has a subtle “give” that makes it easy and comfortable to hold and use while working over multiple pieces at a time. It’s perfect for my needs to carve small details into my pieces.

Finding tools that work for me & don't aggravate my carpal tunnel is difficult. While I wish the handle was a bit thicker for that, it's comfortable to hold & carves well. Having two different shaped carving tools in one tool is also really convenient for my toolbox as well.

This is definitely my favorite Pottery tool. I use it often and the rounded handle makes it comfortable to grip like a pencil. The fluting is very small. See attached picture. The tips on either end are able to be removed and replaced with different sizes, but I have never done so.

This is one of my favorite tools for ceramics. I used to use an onion holder for scratching the clay for joints. I love the strength of the scratchers and how easy it is to clean. The smoothing end also works on those joints in hard-to-get spots, as well as around handles and such.I ended up buying the Xiem set so now I have two handles for the interchangeable tool ends. Great product!
