Discover how to improve your decision-making and avoid costly mistakes with this comprehensive guide that examines the psychology behind our thoughts and judgments. Review: Very good book - Bought as a present for my son and was exactly what he had asked for. Review: Quality information, but a bit short - The theme of the book is making decisions. Why people make mistakes and how to make better decisions and more accurate predictions. Most examples are investment related. It appears to be a good overview on decision making. That is pretty much all of the sections are both true and insightful. However it could have been organised a bit better, some sections could be next to each other or under the same heading, also some content seems to be in the wrong section. It appears the author focused only on ideas he knows to be useful and he understands. (Meaning the contents are true, but incomplete) The problem with the book is that it's too short. It seems each section is just quickly describing an idea with 0 - 2 examples before the next one starts. The problem is, that with so few examples and quick description, you will not understand the concepts if they are new to you and you can't find more real life examples yourself. It is exacerbated by the large number of quotes used (which take up much of the space). I think it should be 2-3x longer to better explain each concept.

Quality information, but a bit short

[...] recommended Seeking Wisdom. The book is excellent. It is not cheap but it is worth every cent. It is worth the money to learn about the mental modems Charlie Munger and Warren Buffet use

Munger and Buffett Fans Rejoice
If you have ever read, well, anything about investing, you may have come across what many refer to as the Buffett and Munger fan club. Perhaps more accurately it could be described as a cult or sect - the point is they worship the ground these two walk on. And I'm not necessarily here to criticise the cult - all I want to do is make potential buyers aware that this book may seem on the surface to be a broad treatise of wisdom in the modern world, when in reality it is mostly just a composition of various quotes and stories from Munger and Buffett. Occasionally the author will venture into quotes from a different thinker, past or present - such as Darwin, Johnson, or Franklin, but if you read as far as Appendix 1 you will realise that the author has selected these historical perspectives based on recommendations made by... you guessed it, Buffett and Munger! So, if like me, you wanted to read something new and innovative (i.e. in which the author actually produced novel ideas/analysis - rather than just paraphrasing quotes from his idols), then perhaps this isn't the book for you. But, if you are looking for yet another book filled with quotes and sayings from Munger and Buffett, then maybe this will be your jam...

Arrivato in ottime condizioni

Ceci n’est pas vraiment un livre, mais une compilation de citations de M. Buffet et M. Munger avec des commentaires ...

Similar to Charles P’s review below, I am almost ashamed it took me so long to discover this book. Page for page, it is one of the most densely insightful books I have ever read; and it’s essentially a distillation of wisdom and knowledge from some of history’s greatest minds into a single book. There’s a great quote by Johnny Uzan where he said, “A great book takes years to write but only hours to read. The reader nets the difference.” The net wisdom/knowledge benefit from this book makes it worth exponentially more than its purchase price, and I recommend it anytime anyone asks me the question, “What are your favorite books?” You will be a better and wiser person for having read this special book. Guaranteed.
