CD Cleaner wheel
I have had all but good experience with this product...the only change I made instead of using the liquid it came with it, is I used a furniture polish as the lubricate. You have to use a bit to get the wheel lubricated, but polishes the disk very well. I have save a ton of money on my Kids WII games and DVDs. My two and four year old really but the CD's through the ringer. Though I wasn't able to fix the CD completely the product did it job well enough to have the gaming counsel or video machine read it again. A wheel will do a good 10 CD that are badly damaged before you need to replace the wheel (10 minutes or so on the wheel is good for bad scratches). If you have light scratches a minute or two on the wheel will clean it right up and polish it to a point that it almost looks new. Don't worry about the spiral on the CD, as long as the CD is polished, it can be read. Some machines read the CD better than others. I have found that Sony products do very well. Xbox and Vizio do read it, but not consistently. Replace the wheel after you examine the surface. If it is really smooth, then its time to replace. If you see a bit of grain on it, it will continue to function. The wheel work best on the automatic machines...I broke two manuals devices. The automatic I've had for a year now and works perfectly fine.

Good replacement parts
I got this hoping it would help my cleaner work longer and I was not disappointed. I was able to swap out the part easily, and it’s working great. Very pleased.

THIS IS A REPLACEMENT KIT FOR THE DIGITAL INNOVATIONS SKIP DR
Originally I used to buy these from the local Grand Rapids Best Buy store, but now I order this kit from Amazon.Instead of buying a new Skip Dr every time the resurfacing wheel wears out, I can simply buy this kit and replace the wheel, the cloth, solution, and buffing pad.As a result, I have kept this device working on and on for the past several years now.You can save many of your scratched and scuffed DVD's, cd's, BlueRay discs, cd-rom discs, and video game discs instead of having to buy new ones over the sake of a troublesome scratch or scuff which causes it to skip or freeze.Unfortunately, the device cannot fix discs that skip or freeze due to a crack. And, some cracks cannot be seen either, because they are internal, and corrupt what's on the disc. Cracks can be difficult to diagnose, unless you know the signs. Sadly these discs are irreparable.

Liquid not enough
Does a fair job. Not enough liquid with kit. Careful DO NOT LET IT GO MORE THAN TWICE AROUND I ERASED ONE OF M Y TO SG1 S9 DVDS AFTER BEING DISTRACKED. I AM WOULD BE GREAT TO HAVE MARK ON IT TO KNOW FOR SURE A ROTATION HAS BEEN COMPLETED

Keep your CD's clean forever.
This item is a replacement for the wheel that replaces a wheel that has been on a disc cleaner. Your wheel can only be used a certain amount of times then you must replace the wheel. The name of the company is called Skip Dr and it's a fabulous machine and inexpensive.

Beware, this is NOT the same as the abrasive disk that comes with your Disk Doctor.
My review is strictly about the use of this product for salvaging cds which tend to be easier than salvaging DVDs or Blu Ray discs.I use both the manual and motorized version of the Disk Doctor to salvage scratched cds. I also have a JFJ disk remediation machine I use too. When only one part of the disk has a serious scratch, I use the DD to work that area down to help remove the scratch. This involves working the scratched portion of the disk in just a narrow area, then repositioning the disk to a slightly wider area, each successive run. This might seem crazy repositioning the disk to do just part of the disk, but some scratches are so deep, that doing this across the whole surface of the disk would require a significant reduction of the overall disk thickness. This much removal of the plastic weakens the flatness of the disk to play properly. However, after completing this process with the DD to remove any remnant of the scratch, I use the JFJ to blend this work into the rest of the disk to smoothen out the transition, so the laser can properly read the disk. Anyway, that's the most extreme use of the DD I use for disk remediation. These replacement abrasive wheels for the DD are not made from the same plastic as the original. The plastic tends to be more flexible. As a result, the abrasive wheel won't stay flat side to side when it's run in the manual or motorized DD. It wobbles while being used. As if the wobbling isn't enough causing poor abrasion passes on the disk, the wobbling tends to cause the abrasive wheel to walk off the mounting hub while also scraping the inside of the DD. This damages the DD, and depending how much of a wobble the wheel has, it can do irreparable harm to whatever disk your attempting to repair. I've attempted to manually realign the wheel after mounting, and when I can get it to almost lay flat, then run the repair, inevitably the wobble reforms after slightly turning the wheel and it doesn't matter whether I use the manual or electric version of the DD. I've attempted to use 5 different replacement wheels and they all perform the same.I'm not sure about the validity of many of the positive reviews shown for this product, as my results greatly differ. However, maybe they are only doing a few disks, where I do many. Either way, this product is a poor replacement for the work I do.With DVD and Blu Ray repair being even more critical than cd repair to get the disk to properly function, I would suspect the results to be worse. The original dark grey/black abrasive wheel hold their shape and perform well in the DD. These blue replacement versions of the abrasive wheel flex too much side to side to be an effective replacement.
