Explorer: The Hidden Doors: 03 (Explorer Series)

Great intermediate comic
I was a bit worried this would be too “out there” for my 11 year old son but he’s loved the whole series

Beautiful art
Another good mix of fun stories and cool art styles, ideal for some easy escapism. I especially liked 'Asteria Crane' by Kazu Kibuishi. This anthology series in general is great for reluctant readers or those looking to get into graphic novels.

Great!
This is my first "Explorer" and I'll have to go back and read the first two as I fair enjoyed this. Now I'd only read a couple of the author/illustrators before but both Kibuishi and Canadian Faith Erin Hicks are favourites of mine. Anthologies are best when they have a solid theme and this one's "Hidden Doors" is an intriguing one. Each story does have a physical door in it, but the differences end there. Each story took the theme in a unique direction; Kazu Kibuishi's offering was my favourite by far though.

Dieses Buch ist nicht von Kazu Kibuishi. Er ist nur der Editor des Buches
Dieses Buch ist NICHT von Kazu Kibuishi. Er spielt nur die Rolle des Editors. Sein Name auf dem Cover ist irreführend!

Stories are not bad, but some art styles were pretty meh
Stories are not bad, but some art styles were pretty meh. Art is subjective though,so check it out for yourself

ITS STORIES ABOUT DOORS! YAY!
I just bought this because it was cheap and I liked the cover art. I had no preconceived notions going into it. It's a collection of short stories about Doors by different authors and artists. They're pretty good, but i gifted it away as soon as I finished.A collector would enjoy this the most I think, but it's got some pretty good stories in there for a casual reader as well.
