Quality factory replacement, half the price of the local parts stores. Installation details below.
Purchased for a 2000 Silverado Z71 with the 5.3. Was taking multiple cranks to start and began losing a lot of power/acceleration when going uphill or towing a trailer. There was also an audible high-pitched squeal coming from my gas tank and my fuel gauge would often stick or read empty. This is a drop-in replacement for the factory AC-Delco, with the exception of having to do a simple wire splice for a new style power connector. I possess average to below average common sense and mechanical ability and installed this pump myself in around 2hrs, with details below. To my surprise I managed to not blow anything up and my truck immediately fired up and drove like new. I've put about 4000 miles on it so far and am very happy with my purchase, this seems to be a well-built pump that I expect to last the 200k that the original got me. If not, I will change this to a very angry review.*The only issue I had was with the new (included) o-ring seal being slightly too thick for me to easily get the locking ring back on, but my old one was still in good shape so I just cleaned it and slipped it onto the Delphi. All I did was look up the "bed tilt" installation method on youtube while starting my six-pack and two beers later I was under my truck taking out bed bolts. If I remember correctly, I think they were 19mm, possibly 18. You'll need probably an 8-10" extension for the rear ones. I took out all of the driver's side bolts, and backed out the passenger's side about 3/4 of the way. Then I unclipped the taillights and popped out the gas cap stem thingy. The tailgate isn't that heavy but you can take it off too make the bed a little easier to lift, but I didn't have much trouble tilting it with one hand while wedging in my support blocks. I'm not going to give you any safety warnings, but please use more than just one 2x4. This is a fairly tall pump, but the two support arms are spring loaded so you're able to compress it a little bit while trying to get it into the tank. You'll still need to tilt the bed fairly high to have a comfortable amount of room though. I took out my fuel pump relay and tried cranking the truck several times to burn through the fuel in the lines and keep the mess down. I also hosed off the top of my tank and old pump and cleaned around the locking ring before taking it off, as I'm sure my gas tank had enough crap in it already. This pump does not include new clips for the fuel line/exhaust connections, so be careful taking the old ones off or follow the link another reviewer posted to order new ones ahead of time. The bottom segment where the pump motor is will probably be full of gas so tilt it while you're pulling out the old pump and you'll make less of a mess. Attach the included float to the Delphi per instructions (only one way it can go on), and carefully wiggle the pump into the tank and line up the little notch on top. As mentioned above, take off the o-ring from your old pump before you throw it away, just in case you can't get the locking ring back on with the new one.Fuel lines all go back the same way and the new wiring supplies/instructions are included, you'll just need a crimper and some electrical tape. The instructions are unnecessarily garbled but it's pretty straightforward, for my truck the original wire colors were exactly the same which meant using the illustration for "combination" #4 on the 2nd page, under "Wiring Identification Diagram." Just use the blue splices for the gray and black wires, and red splices on the purple and orange-stripe wires. I didn't have a heat gun like it says so I just taped it up nice and tightOnce everything is reconnected (don't forget the relay), fire her up and crack open your celebration beer. When lowering the bed back down it will have likely shifted a bit so you'll want to line the bolt holes back up and then visually check the edges along the cab and bumper to make sure it isn't too far off. Don't forget to plug back in and test the taillights too, that's important. Hope this helps, good luck!

Quality part!!!
The module itself was easy to install but getting to it....well that's a whole different story... (PITA!!!!). Anyway, the module wiring exactly matched my factory harness on my 2000 Sierra 4x4 so it was as simple as cutting the existing connector off and splicing the provided connector onto my harness. All the necessary hardware to make this splice is provided with this module. If your wiring does not match the new connector, the instruction manual that comes with the module illustrates how to properly connect the new connector. I also purchased a new lock ring ACDelco TR14 Ring Fuel Sendor and new fuel line retainer clips Dorman 800-016 Fuel Line Retaining Clip Assortment for GM/Chrysler because my truck is 12 years old and I figured it would be easier to replace everything with all new parts. If you decide to order the fuel line retaining clips, make sure you get the one from the link I added because you will need BOTH (3/8" and 5/16") sizes. I also went ahead and purchased a new fuel filter ACDelco GF652 Fuel Filter as well so I could have all new parts from the pump to the filter. OK, I decided to remove the bed of my truck instead of dropping the tank (again, 12 year old plastic parts and Murphy's Law). Let me warn you...this is still a PITA regardless of whether dropping the tank OR removing the bed. I ended up purchasing a 1-ton engine hoist and a load leveler in order to remove the bed. If you have 3 good buddies to help you lift off the bed, then you may not need to spend any extra money (except for beverages for your buddies of course). Even though I spent the extra money it was WAY LESS than what the dealer wanted for this job (but I can see now why they charge so much). As usual Amazon came through and everything arrived faster than I expected. This module is great and worked like a champ. The fuel gauge worked immediately and the truck cranked right up and idled like it was new again. Thanks again to Amazon for having quality parts and fast shipping!

An Amazonian deal on the best available fuel pump for my Chevrolet Silverado
My 2001 Chevrolet K2500 has 295k on a Vortec 8100 and the fuel pump was failing. I shopped around town for an OEM replacement but couldn't find one for less than $365. So, I tried Amazon and was surprised to find a Delphi assembly for $170. Without knowing whether the pickup had the evap emissions sensor or not, I decided to order the pump optioned for the sensor. Great deal and delivery in five business days.My flatbed was welded to the frame rails and I didn't want to drop the tank myself so I took the truck to a local mechanic for the installation. He called me midday to inform me that I had the wrong pump because it had the evap emissions connector on top. I said, "I need to see what you're seeing. I'll be right over." It was immediately clear to me that the evaporative emissions connector is simply an add-on for those pickups optioned for the sensor. No sensor, no problem! I told the mechanic to install it as is, which he did. The pickup now runs like a raped ape; smooth and strong to redline in all gears. The sending unit no longer bounces the fuel gauge off and on like a toddler discovering a light switch.NOTE: If your vehicle was built with an evaporative emissions system you'll need to order your pump with the evap emissions connector or you'll be looking at a perpetually lit Service Engine Soon light, which despite being annoying is never a good idea for obvious reasons.Very happy with the purchase. I'll still check local parts houses first but if their price looks like a gouge, I won't hesitate to order parts from Amazon again.

So far so good
I installed this on my 2002 hd 1500 with a 6.0. I spent extra for the delphi because i dont want to have to do this again anytime soon and it was 100 cheaper than the same one at my local auto parts store. Like many who gave reviews mentioned, a new connector had to spliced in, which wasnt difficult. This kit included splices but i soldered them instead. Dropping the tank and disconnecting the necessary lines took more time than anything, but even all that was pretty easy. Its only been 2 weeks but its working great. Im hoping this lasts another 10 yrs!
