A very clever solution to belt sizing
I was looking for a replacement to a belt that had become cracked and had holes that wouldn't hol-d.Your typical belt has holes which seemed designed to make the fit just a bit too small or loose. Very annoying. I've had to sometimes add holes between those included. That always weakens the belt. And what happens if have a thick shirt (or gain a little weight)? Then I found this product. Because it uses a ratcheting mechanism, you can set it as tight or as loose as you want, in very small increments. Lift up on a lever and it slides open. Amazing! The only worry I had is that you have to cut it to the overall length you want, then assemble the buckle to the belt. I thought it would be hard to cut the leather. Nope. A simple pair of kitchen scissors did the trick. There are a couple questions on longevity that I can't answer yet. First, the buckle clamps onto the belt, held in place by some teeth that pierce the leather. I can see those working loose over time. I cut the belt long enough snip it a bit shorter and reattach if it becomes an issue. The other question is how durable the ratchet in the belt will be. It's a long strip of plastic, which you can see in the product's first picture. It's sewn in well and seems sturdy, but time will tell. For now, I say it's top-notch (and lots of other notches too!)

A great belt that doesn't feel cheap and is easier than standard belts.
This belt feels very durable and is quite easier than standard belts. The belt came with marks for to cut down to what size I needed exactly. Once you lock that in, it's smooth sailing as it's easy to get it through the belt loops and the buckle has a locking mechanism that makes it simple to secure with the belt's strong locking channels. It's just a simple few clicks and you're secure. No trying to get to the right hole that over time weakens it by bending the belt and leaves an permanent imprint from the latch. I wasn't entirely sure what I was going to get when I bought it, but I am definitely glad I did and I think you will too.

Decent belt, left Mission for these. IMO, skip the hollow buckle.
I've been using Mission belts for 4-5 years. They keep breaking so I figured I'd get a tandem for what 1 tends to cost on other brands. These do the job just fine. The solid buckle a has a NICE lock to it and doesn't slip. The hollow buckle, where it's a squarish frame, tends to slip a little easier as the release is not as secure by design. I thought I'd like the look of the hollow one, and I do, but I dislike the amount of attention I have to keep on it with regards to belt slip.

The gripping/releasing mechanism is a bit finicky
These belts look good, are comfortable, and seem to hold up well to normal wear and tear. The only downside is the release for the gripping mechanism: It hangs down from the buckle, which sometimes causes it to release "spontaneously". On the other hand, it also tends to be hard to find when I WANT to release the buckle, and sometimes is hard to release when I do find it. I have other belts, having similar gripping mechanisms, but whose buckles release by simply pulling out slightly on "free end" of the buckle. I find these buckle mechanisms to be a lot more "cooperative": easy on, and easy off.

Great belt who’s buckle fell apart in 7 months
I absolutely loved this belt and used it religiously until one day after retightening it I noticed the buckle dangling by one pin which subsequently also fell out secondary to it’s lack of support which could be rectified if the company simply sent a replacement buckle.

Works for me !
Seems like l was forever having problems getting a standard leather belt to fit properly. One buckle hole would be too big and the pants were too loose and then the belt was too tight when buckled in the next hole down. This belt has no holes but rather has a ratchet that allows the belt to be adjusted in about 1/4 inch increments. This seems to be working perfectly. It holds right wherever it's adjusted and has a quick release trigger.I ordered a second one within about a week of receiving the first. And I don't expect to ever go back to a standard buckle type belt again. It seems like I saw something about the ratchet teeth getting worn with use.I don't see why you just couldn't shorten it a couple of inches and then be using another section of the rachet teeth.

This belt is exactly what I wanted
I had a similar but much more expensive belt I bought for use with a holster. When I found this one for business slacks with a similar buckle, I decided to give it a try. It is every bit as durable as the more expensive one I purchased from a different manufacturer, and I would not hesitate at all to buy this belt again .

Got scratched
This was my second ratchetting belt in the last four years. The first one was from a different company and lasted two years before the buckle became scratched and the "leather" split. . This one only lasted a year which surprised me because I went out of my way to always hang it carefully. Too bad the buckles aren't more durable. The belts themselves are wonderful.

The perfect men’s belt
Great Quality belt all the way down to the packaging. I have used the belt for a week and can see the benefits of using the ratchet style locking mechanism. It will reduced the cracking of the leather, making it last longer. The belt has ample length and allows you to cut it shorter to suit a given waist size. The design of the belt buckles are stylish not to mention robust.
