Flavor! Sandwiches, pretzle dippin.
This mustard is not HOT spicy. It is very flavorful. If you are sensitive to hot, you might find some heat. But its not a "pepper" kind of heat. I happen to love Habaneros etc but this has none of that kind of heat. Hard to describe: maybe, a blend of fine yellow mustard, with more of a hoarse-radish heat, a hint of vinegar. In my opinion a pefect mustard for sandwiches & pretzle dipping. Brats too.

Hot, but...
Arrived well packaged. Although advertised as "extra hot," this mustard has just a nice kick, but not as hot as a Chinese mustard variety. Highly recommend. Am going to use for some German bratwurst for Oktoberfest. Bought before and will continue to purchase this mustard as it's tasty and you can use for wurst, salads, etc. A nice change from Dijon.

Smooth and tasty
Smooth and tasty, not really very hot, but german mustards generally don't have a giant kick when compared to English or Chinese. Goes great with ham, and with most sandwich meats. Not cheap, but I couldn't find it locally within 15 miles so it's a reasonably good value to me

Great mustard! It has a spicy horseradish flavor but it’s just mustard. We loved it

Where's the heat?
I purchased this mustard five years ago and the heat was tremendous, it was sinus clearing. I purchased again two years ago and there was no heat. I recently heard from someone who was given a jar brought back from Germany and they said the heat was fantastic, very high. I was inspired and bought another jar this week. No heat at all. Not sure if it is old (sticker on jar says best by March 2026), or is what they export to the US different?

The same sour and not at all spicy mustard.
Mustard is delicious, but I love good Russian mustard, which is like wasabi that pulls the throat and nose. I have no complaints about this product. He's absolutely normal and good, but that's not what I'm looking for. The description "very sharp" absolutely does not fit this product and misleads buyers like me. In any case, this mustard is useful for meat marinade or something else. Thank you.
