Yeast Extract - 10 Grams

This yeast extract was not powdered as described. It was more the consistency of tiny tea twigs. These also did not dissolve in solution or during autoclave as I'd hoped. I ended up with LB agar plates that had dense patches of yeast extract in them. I am new to making agar plates so it could have been a mistake on my part. However I have made plenty of solutions before and am fairly confident that the patches I received was due to the consistency of the yeast extract.
