I purchased an AC Delco water pump which came with one of those paper/cork gaskets. I never use when possible. This Fel-Pro was highly recommend as an upgraded gasket by several online forums, message boards and people I know that work on vehicles.Installation was pretty easy. There are two extra holes that fit into little tabs on the motor side. This will keep the gasket in place while you install the actual pump. Use proper torque specs and you'll be fine.I've only had my new pump and this gasket on for about 2500 miles and I don't smell antifreeze anymore. This gasket lives up to the hype.

I like that it is much better material than like the paper one's they give you with the new water pump!

If you are replacing a water pump on a GM 3800 series motor, GET THIS GASKET! Trust me here. The ones that come in the box (even the AC Delco) do not work nearly as well as this one.

These Fel Pro water pump gaskets are great. Have used 2 or 3 of them and never had a leak. I don't use any sealant or RTV, just install the gasket and torque to spec. Definitely worth getting when doing a water pump replacement, the paper gaskets are sub par in comparison with these.

If you don’t have the metal and rubber replacement gasket for the GM 3.8 L this is a great substitute as long as you silicone the bolts.

Arrived as expected and quality of product has performed, so far, as stated.....No leaks!!!Very well pleased with it and recommend purchasing as a replacement.
