Full Size Conversion Kit Bed Rails for Bertini Baby Cribs (Weathered Charcoal)

This conversion kit was quite the find for us after BRU went out of business. I called the manufacturer and searched everywhere for the kit but couldn’t find it. Months later I stumbled across it here on Amazon. The price was decent and the product was excellent. My husband said ghat ours came with two options for connecting the side rails to the head and foot board which he appreciated. My sons “big boy bed” is beautiful and sturdy.

While this product will fit the Bertini Pembrooke 4 in 1 crib, it is a lot of work. You have to disassemble the side pieces in order to use the posts on either side piece. The posts then connect to the footboard and the posts are what contain the slots to put the rails in. Our kit arrived damaged, there is a piece missing off the end of one of the rails and there is also an indentation where it looks like something was dropped on it. We can’t send it back because our son’s toddler bed is already taken apart but buyer beware and make sure you check all pieces before beginning.

This is my sons crib, the “ Bertini Lafayette” and was purchased on 2018 so by now I couldn’t find the conversion kit but luckily i did and it fit perfect. It was easy and quick to install. The color is a bit yellow but once you arrange the bed you don’t see rails. Over all i really like how it turns out and how it looks.

Extremely difficult to get set up. Took o er an hour and 3 adults. The rails do not lock into the head board and foot board easily. The wood planks that came with it are too long and do not fit. Also the description recommended buying a specific set of extra wood planks if you wanted to skip having to buy a box spring. So we bought them and they also are to long. Such a headache!!!!!! Not to mention the company makes the side rails in every color to match their convertible cribs except for the rustic washed color we bought. Which is more of an annoyance.

We’re very happy with the conversion kit as the original crib was purchased from Toys-R-Us. Unfortunately they went out of business and we were stuck trying to find the rails to match the crib!! The match is perfect and it is made well!!

Positives: I got the Weathered Charcoal color because it was almost half the price of the other colors. It was more of a darker brown than charcoal, but in my case that worked even better as our bed is more brown. The price was definitely a selling point for us as we didn't want to spend double the price for another color. We used a bedskirt to cover it so you couldn't see that it didn't match our particular bed. It was of very nice quality. It arrived very quickly and well-packaged.The only negative I have is that it wasn't a perfect fit for my Bertini Crib and my husband did have to use tools to cut it slightly in order to fit the crib to bed conversion but that really wasn't a big deal. Overall, we were very pleased with our purchase.

We recently converted our crib into a full size bed using this and we couldn't be happier! The bed now fits my husband and I and our toddler and even our yellow lab! I have full confidence in the sturdiness of the bed and love being able to lay in bed with my son to read and snuggle before it is lights out!
