College Mathematics for Business, Economics, Life Sciences, and Social Sciences

I have been putting off taking this class for four years. I think it was because I never had a good math text book before. The examples in this book are really easy to understand and the exercises are really helpful for studying. If your a professor reading this review I can say for sure that this is the best math textbook that I have ever had.

The book came in great condition and I've had no problems with it. The sample problems are great. The chapters may be a bit difficult to understand at first, but you've got to start from the right place. Try doing them with a partner. Thank you for the wonderful product!

I chose to buy this textbook online because they wanted 168.00 + tax at the local bookstore. There was no tax plus it arrived in two days. I am very pleased that I was able to save a little chunk of change by purchasing this product through Amazon.

The solutions presented in this book are pretty clear and easy to follow, however, they only solve the odd numbered problems. Which is a bit of a disappointment because the solutions for the odd numbered problems are already in the back of the original text... So I'm confused as to why I purchased this. At least a fair warning mentioning that it's not a complete solutions manual would've been nice. Not a complete waste of money, but still a disappointment.

Item arrived and is as described except that there is no MyMathLab key. The description talked about it, but never specifically said it came with access. Slightly irritated, but buying them separately is still a better deal than my school bookstore's bundle with both. MyMathLab costs $82 from their site, so expect that cost if you need it for your class. This book does not include it. Only other factor is Amazon doesn't buy back loose leaf books. You can list it though.

This textbook is very clear on the examples it offers. It depends on the instructor how teach the content, unfortunately I had a bad teacher, but I was able to understand the textbook following the examples.

It doesn't show how to solve equations step by step. It's a bit perplex to use. I actually stopped using it after a couple of pages, trying to learn algebra, because it was not helping me understand or teach me what I need to learn.

This book saved me! I would not have passed without the assistance of this book. I don't agree with the other review it didn't just have negative problems- some chapters had both even and odd problems but some did only have odd...BUT STILL WORTH THE BUY!!Each chapter has a things to remember which was extremely helpful before exams
