Pass this up and you might need to have your head examened
I have seen a couple of negative reviews on here and frankly I do not know why. I did a "custom" install on mine. (I used to work for MOTOROLA ) doing phone and radio install. So I had a real good idea of what I was going to do.Mine went on a 2017 JEEP (now m ind you this was a a custom job) I removed the spare, took off the back of the raised tail light, I then dissembled the rear vent covers and wire track that JEEP used to run wire through. I then removed the carpet along the edges and ran the main cable. In order to put the back camera on I did drill a 1/2 inch hole in the top of the stop light mount and installed a plastic plug that is made to run wires through. I then drilled another 1/2 inch hole behind the tire and dropped the cable into the door. There is a wire loom that already exists behind the plastic panel you already removed. Finally I pulled up the corner of the hard plastic panel and also pulled back the carper on the passenger side. NOW while all this sound difficult the total time required was 15 minutes! To me since I am crippled the hardest part was, putting the wheel back on the holder! Now all you have to do is run the cable under the carpet to the front of the car. NOW 1 ting to consider is that for a shorter car like a JEEP WRANGLER 4 door the total cable run is 14 feet BUT they supply you with 48 feet of cable. So you need to decide where to put the extra cable. All I did was roll it up into about a 30 inch look and stick it under the rear carper (since this is the least used area of a car it is usually the best to store cables) OK now comes the next decision WHERE do I want to mount it? WELL I have a dished out area in the center of my upper dash and it so worked out that the mount is exactly the right length to go there.OK how do I get the wires up there??? That is a simple thing. after pulling the wires along the carpet I just removed the glove box by squeezing the tabs on each side and it popped out. Now again in the center of the "dash pocket" where I wanted to mount the monitor was just as easy. FIRST thing is to remove the side of the dash that you want to run the wires. Real simple these days almost all dashes panels are held in with clips that you can easily pull the dash back toward you and it will pop off. Now where you have it loose (you do not need to remove the entire dash panel. pull back on the dash and mark where you want the 1 video wire to come up and what I did was drill a 3/8 hole very close to the lighter so I could push the power wire through the dash and still plug in the supply lighter cord. The rest was even more easy connect all the cords together - they are all different and only fit 1 way. Turn the key to accessory and make sure the power cord id plugged in and it is turned on (if you do not see a picture push the red button on the end of the plug it might not be turned on. If it is glowing red and you have a picture on your dash you have done it all correct.button everything back together and reinstall the glove box and you are done. OK so there is a lot of words here and it sounds difficult well let me let you in on a secrete - my right arm was blown off in Vietnam and I do not use my mechanical arm when working on electrical or automotive things for safety reasons. The total time - even for a beginner who has never touched a tool in their life is about 90 minutes. You do not even need anything but a straight slot screw driver and a phillips to install all of this. It is straight forward and EVERYTHING you need even the screws are included with the kit. Now there in one extra thing I do since I was taught 60 plus years ago by my father who was a mechanic. I did use black electrical tape around each connection 1) it keeps out and dirt or water 2) it holds the connections solid in case in 40 or 50 years they rattle loose. Just an old habit but for 99 cents at the hardware store it is a cheap enough safety step.If you have ANY questions they do have a customer service number you can call for free and they are right on top of giving you an answer. I tried it just because I wanted to know if they could really help if I needed anything and they are there and answer questions right now you do not have to wait. (also a little secrete is to look in their instruction manual there is a choice of free gift's they will send you just for buying from them something not listed on AMAZON)

Excellent temporary solution for trailering
The media could not be loaded. I purchased this camera kit for safety reasons when moving a pontoon about four hours away with half interstate and half rural roads. I couldn’t find a decent location to mount the camera on the back of the pontoon as the motor blocked the view no matter where I put it. I ended up mounting it temporarily with zip ties to the Bimini top frame. It provided an excellent rear view mirror view which allowed me to safely switch lanes. I zip tied the cable in various places in the pontoon and on the trailer and ran it through my vehicle. In the video attached the monitor is set in a section of my front dash but it wouldn’t stay. The dash is rounded so it couldn’t mount plus we were using it only temporarily. The front passenger held the monitor for the trip (not ideal but worked). I saw another reviewer had the monitor attached with a suction cup which I assumed came with the kit. The suction cup is a free add on option (one of many, but pick one) obtained via email request from the instructions, but I am not sure if it will work. Video quality is excellent for its purpose. The kit set up is easy and takes just minutes. This is an excellent temporary solution for trailering and safety and a bonus that it is a reasonable price

Camera
I put this camera in my skid steer. I installed it, turned it on and the monitor said no signal. I went through all the wiring connections. Still no signal. I called tech support they thought it was a camera problem. They sent me a new camera. WORKS GREAT. Thank you tech support.

Very good camera
I purchased this camera to use on a tractor for use with pull behind attachment installation was easy just plug and play basically. I will say as I didn’t want this to be permanently mounted I installed 2 magnets on the bases so I can take it on and off as needed and keep it out of the weather when not in use. The biggest drawback that I have noticed is that even with the included sun shield it is hard to see the image in even moderate sunlight. Overall I would recommend this product.

Great quality
I got this camera for one of the machines in my fleet, it is great quality and was very easy to install. The images are crystal clear and the timing of it turning on when I put the machine in reverse is great.

Works as designed
Came with all the parts needed to install the item. You can either hardwire the display in or you can use a 12 aux outlet with a push button on/off switch. Camera and display are hardwired together. Wire is 60+ft. Video is clear. Can have 2 cameras installed. No issues with camera or display at this time.

Used on Skoolie conversion
Super simple plug and play design. I bought for my short school bus RV conversion so the 66ft of cord is more than enough to hook this up. Also was very simply able to flip the monitor screen and mount upside down above head rather than on the dash and it works perfectly. I haven’t fully mounted the camera yet but I have it all mocked up and so far super happy with everything. Clear image. No lag. Good value
