Do the recordings delete when the batteries die?

I think what happens is that the recording is still resident but just ends with the *beep beep* of the battery dying. I've not paid attention lately to it, though.

I want to buy this for my nursing lectures, do you think it will work well for that type of use? also does it save the recordings automatically?

Yes I bought this when I started college and I uses it throughout my pre requisites and nursing classes. It was very beneficial. I'm here to buy again to gift.
