I ordered this printer with high hopes and was very disappointed to get what appeared to be a “lemon”. Toner was streaming down the side of the page in massive quantities. Troubleshooting and cleaning did not help, neither did replacing toner cartridges. I decided my only option was to return. Only problem was, I didn’t have the box anymore. I reached out to customer service and that began my pleasant journey with Lisa. Not only was she kind, responsive and helpful, but she convinced me to give the printer another try. She sent a replacement, waited to make sure it worked, then sent a prepaid label and arranged pick up for the damaged printer. What started as a poor experience ended as a wonderful one thanks to Lisa’s customer service. Thank you for all your help, Lisa. The replacement printer is working beautifully and has helped me print my Preschool Subscription Box lesson plans and worksheets without a single hiccup. Thousands of pages! I highly recommend this printer from this particular seller.

This is my 3rd color laser printer for my home office (others are from HP and OkiData).There isn't much good I can say about this Brother, except that it works - and it's fairly quiet. It's also a tad smaller than other ones, if footprint is important. These are the good points.The print quality is abysmal compared to the other ones. Not crisp - every line or letter feels fuzzy. The colors are not dense. To add insult to injury, it developed a toner streak on the side of the paper after 2 days of use (with nothing else but regular laser paper).Also annoying is the time it takes to wake up and print a first page - easily 3-4 times as long as my other printers.If you feel like this printers has what you need, go for it. It works. If you're looking for something responsive and (mostly) with decent printing quality, this printer is way off.UPDATE (03/14/21): I gave the printer away to a friend. If it's your first laser printer, you might not see what it lacks, but it is lacking. I bought another HP to replace it, which is crisper and faster.

After several years with an old Brother laser printer, I felt it was time for an upgrade. I had just purchased a new Windows 10 laptop, and wanted a printer that would work well with it. This printer works for both my Windows 10 and Windows 7 laptops, so I am able to send output to the machine no matter which laptop I am using.This beast is fast, and it also has the option of adding additional paper trays. I got one extra paper tray for it, so I can send huge print jobs to this monster, and the printer runs out of paper. I am able to print more than 400 pages in a single run. Just awesome. Perfect for an office environment, or a small business like mine, where large print jobs are run. Highly recommended.

Jams all the time. Tried printing one page and it kept printing over and over. Stay away from Beother!!

It prints nicely, but curls all the pages. So you try to hold a document up and read it and it falls forward. Tried to print out the back of the machine, same problem. Bought heavier paper that was recommended by manufacturer, same problem. I recommend this product highly for someone who doesn't actually want to look at their printed documents.

I am really bewildered to think that they can get away with this. Go to the Brother Website yourself to read the info of the drum life for this model is the same as the older and cheaper model. They just reversed the description. So people who don't really read the fine print will say one drum last longer than the other.
