Love it! Lots of fresh insight.
This is an excellent translation, at first I was unsure of the amount of footnotes, but having gotten used to them they add a lot of depth to the reading. I read the New Living Translation along with this and find that the Passion Translation talks about the spiritual life and the spirit realm plainly.Psalm 91 is a good example.Psalm 91:13(New International Version)"You will tread on the lion and the cobra;you will trample the great lion and the serpent"(The Passion Translation)"You’ll even walk unharmed among the fiercest powers of darkness,trampling every one of them beneath your feet!"I also appreciate that they translated the psalms and proverbs with the new covenant in mind. Some may argue it's not appropriate to put the historical or cultural context on the back burner and make the spiritual context the focus, but for us, as new covenant, Holy Spirit-filled, sons and daughters of God, the spiritual context is more relevant!Do you want to know more of what the Holy Spirit is saying in scripture? I’m the type of person who is very careful with translations and anything that has to do with God. I’m reading this with a humble heart and I just say that it’s intrigued me to read even more and gather an even better understanding on the Word, I usually stick with AMP and KJV but when you’re being led by the Holy Spirit this translation is awesome. Sometimes you can’t help but to giggle at some of the ways he has translated this one lol.Blessings on your journey to know Him more, especially in these last days

Fantastic translation!
I wanted a small new testament to fit in my work bag and that is why I chose this one. However, I am finding this particular translation (which I've never read before) to be fantastic! It is very easy to understand and the notes are outstanding. I have a new appreciation for God's word and am eagerly reading every day! I highly recommend this!

This is an accurate translation from the original Greek and Hebrew by Brian Simmons and his expert team into modern day English. The Word of God comes alive.This book is all of the New Testament, Psalms, Proverbs and Song of Songs.Perfect size to put in your purse. Love the purple color.I highly recommend it!

Easy to understand translation
This particular translation is easy to read and understand, and good for additional insights in Bible study. A nice portable testament, though I wish I could find one in real leather

Amazing translation, with excellent study notes from the original Greek and Hebrew, the quality of the cover is great and beautifully designed but the font is super small - that's my only reason for not giving a 5 star.Amazon needs to update the description.
