Beauty and The Beast Belle Cosplay Costume Maid Dress Halloween Outfit for Women

I got a large and it was a bit big on me. Instead of pay paying to have it sent back, I had it altered a little. The shirt is definitely big around he collar and in the chest and so is the jumper, but my seamstress racked it down around the bust and under the arms and I use the apron to make it fit me a bit closer. She also put elastic in the cuff of the sleeves.

The animated Belle is one of my all-time favorite and most relatable Disney characters, and I'm excited to play her at an upcoming Ren Faire. The costume is well represented by the photos. Personally I think the faux-petticoat hem looks much better in person than in the photos. The dress has a waist zipper which is a little fussy. Fit is true to the measurements in the description. I plan on removing the petticoat hem and wearing a real petticoat; it looks like it can be removed while still retaining a hem on the dress itself, though I haven't tried yet. The cornflower blue is pretty good, though it could stand to be a little brighter.The blouse collar has a foamy permanent insert which feels kind of weird and not in-period, but works pretty well in terms of presentation.This costume is about as good as I can imagine without getting a dressmaker to create a legit linen masterpiece. As long as the zipper holds up, this costume is well worth it.NOTE ON THE PHOTO: this is after removing the white lace trim on the skirt hem, and wearing a petticoat underneath. I really do love this dress. I did have to send it back twice. The first time it was because it was too big. And the second time the zipper was broken. It's a very finicky zipper like some other people said in the review. But I really really love this dress. And that's why I'm going through all of this because I want this dress. It's a really great quality other than the zipper. The fabric isn't cheap looking or feeling. The only thing I don't really like is the Petticoat thing underneath. It's kind of warped when it comes out of the package and it's not really necessary. I think it actually makes it looks more silly. I think one that was a little more subtle would be perfect but I'm not even going to bother with one. Because it's that cute!

This was for my daughter for her camp that she works for. They had a “Dress up as your favorite Disney character “ day. This outfit was great and she nailed it! Loved the outfit! Wasn’t very breathable, so standing in the heat and chasing little children was tough but she looked great! Thanks for the quality outfit!Also, the plastic tubing that goes in the petticoat, she needed to cut a hole in the petticoat to insert it. Should have that built in or a hole there already to insert it. But otherwise, perfect to a T! Thanks again!

I am a bit big on the top part of me. But with a few adjustments to the dress I got it to fit. Maybe get a size up if you have the same problem as myself We won 2nd place for Halloween

So I did my measurements 36" bust, 32" waist and 36" hips and decided to order a large. My main reason for getting a large was due to my waist measurement and because many people claimed that the sizes ran small. Well I received the dress and it was too big. I could return it and get a medium, but I wasn't a fan of the material, it was making me itch. The material was a good thickness though and seemed like it would be quite durable and wash up nicely. I also liked the design of the dress so I highly encourage others to give this dress a try. Just follow the measurements.

This is the best costume quality I've owned. It is not the cheap costume fabric you usually get. stitching is great, quality zipper along the side of the dress. White top is separate and a little stiff but still great. apron is separate and not sewn on. I just loved this. fit like glove. I got an XL, and I am 200 lbs, 5'6". I did not use the hoop skirt it comes with, really didn't need it and looked better without.
